We were on our way to a favorite restaurant and decided to switch it up and try Happy Jacks. The location is wonderful with ample parking. Our server was fast, efficient and helpful regarding our menu choice. Zinnea looked after us well. We expected a long wait as there were so many hockey teams dining but our food came promptly. We had a great dining experience.

We went to Happy jacks for our valentine's day lunch having never been here before, we showed up around 11:50 and it was pretty quiet, we were seated by our server and promptly ordered some drinks, we ordered our food and got deep fried pickles and garlic aioli to share which were to die for ! So good ! Wish there was more ! For our mains my spouse had the loaded poutine, ( it was huge and ended up coming home lol!) and I had the captain jacks cod burger and really enjoyed it ! Best fish burger I've had in a while. Thier fries were very tasty and we left full with no complaints. By the time we were heading out it was picking up with the lunch rush so it must be an enjoyable spot! I liked the decor, the piano was cool and checking out all the neat old school pictures of parksville. Bathrooms were kept tidy and clean. We will recomend to family and friends and be coming back! Wanting to try the bangers and mashed next time !

Food and service were excellent. I don’t remember our waitress name but she had a Betty Boop tattoo on her arm and she was lovely. We will definitely be back!

This was our go-to-place for dinning out in Parksville, but unfortunately after a really bad visit last year, my five star review was down graded to a one star review. I was hesitant to go back, but I figured I would give Happy Jacks another chance.

I stopped in yesterday, I was really impressed with waitress Brooklyn, as soon as she approached the table, she greeted me with friendly smile, she projected positivity and happiness. Not just "what do you want?" She took the order properly, didn't have to repeat myself over and over. .

The table was clean (unlike the last visit). The food was served out in good time, didn't have to wait too long. The food was as described on the menu and delicious (unlike the last visit). The crispy chicken burger had the breading on it (last visit it didn't). After the food was served Brooklyn followed up to see how everything was and was able to get drink refills done (unlike the previous visit). Brooklyn then checked a few more times through out the meal (unlike the last visit). She then suggested dessert.

So with the three criteria I use to grade a restaurant (good food, good service, and clean place to eat); Happy Jacks had their act together this visit, and pulled off all 3 with ease (previous visit to this they failed on all 3 criteria). I am really impressed with the way this establishment turned things around. Keep doing this, and I will keep coming back.

Happy Jack's feels more like a casual take on something like cactus club or earls, as opposed to just a country restaurant, but this is a good thing. The place is nice, modern feeling, very clean, and the service was top notch. I got the club house sandwich with hand punched fries, and you can certainly tell the fries aren't from frozen.

The best choice in Parksville if you’re wanting to go For breakfast lunch or dinner or even just a beer. Friendly staff. They make an effort to recognize you as a regular after the first visit excellent service and good prices and good food and fortunately good beer!

This was our first visit here as we happened to be in Parksville. The Houston BC Burger and the Cranberry Brie Chicken Sandwich were awesome! Probably a top 5 burger I’ve ever ordered. These guys also know how to do hand cut fries. Super crispy yet tender inside. Obviously the right method and clean hot fryer oil. Well done Happy Jacks!

Great food, fries are amazing and bottomless!?!?!?. Prices are subject extremely reasonable. Will be back.

Our first time there was on January 14th and it was great. Food was so good especially the bottomless fries and the fish. Our server Chelsey was super friendly and a great server. Would definitely recommend.
