We were visiting Vancouver Island and ordered take out dinner from Happy Jacks.The staff were friendly and our food was ready within 5 or 10 mins of us arriving. The meal portions were very small. We assumed by the prices of the meals that they would be a decent size and enough food to fill you up. The poutine box had maybe a dozen waffle fries in it, you could see the bottom of the box. We ordered pasta as well and it came in a small box similar to the size of a regular NYFries...
We went to Happy Jacks for dinner tonight. We got seated right away, but took a while for the server to come to our table to take drink and food order, but she did apologize. We ordered food and my daughter had a kids burger and I ordered pickles on it. There was an up-charge of .75 which I understand. But with almost spending a dollar more i expected more then just 1 slice of pickle in the burger. (Not even 1/2 a pickle?)

My daughter and I had a mother and daughter day out of town today and decided to try your restaurant for the first time. I have to say I don’t usually leave reviews unless a place blows my tastebuds away and your place did just that! I must say our lunch was so delicious. I had the crispy chicken burger with a green salad and my daughter had the beef dip with a poutine. The food was very fresh, hot and so good. The service was excellent also. We will definitely be coming back...
