3 of us came in today (Sunday) for brunch at 11:10. Brunch is supposed to be from 11-2. We were told they're not serving brunch/breakfast - go across the road. So we left.

Very high-end elevated dishes. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful. The staff here are so friendly and lovely.

Was very disappointed with a fish and chip lunch with friends.
The batter was mushy at best and a small piece of fish inside.
We heard seen that this was a seafood restaurant….uhm not for fish and chips
Maybe other food

The only real selling point of this restaurant is the location. The patio has a gorgeous view of the beach and is connected to the boardwalk. However, everything else is terrible. The food is truly mediocre, especially for the price, and even the freshness of the seafood can’t cover up the fact that the food isn’t anything to write home about at all. But the worst part is how long the wait is. We had been seated for 15min before our server even made an appearance. It was a solid one hour, maybe even a little longer (60-70min) before our entrees appeared. And honestly very underwhelming (see pics). We have young kids with us so it was very difficult to keep them busy and seated for that long. Also another table next to us who had been there for 30-45 min by the time we left were STILL THERE when we walked through back to the hotel around 1.5 hrs later (we had gone for a walk along the boardwalk and took our kids to the playground to play.) Just really unacceptable for a restaurant that’s trying to be of a high calibre. Pictured is my entree, the pistachio encrusted cod.. it was mediocre and this was how it was presented.

It took about 40 minutes just to receive our drinks. When they finally arrived, they were made incorrectly - missing ingredients and the entire garnish. We expressed our frustrations to the waitress, but the situation wasn’t really rectified. Instead of remaking the drinks properly, she brought the missing ingredients out for me to add at the table. Had to ask multiple times for different ingredients and then the garnishes. That’s just not acceptable when you’re paying $18 for a cocktail.

Food service was also extremely slow, taking about 1.5 hours. When it finally came, the food was decent but nothing outstanding. When we asked the manager to remove the drinks from our bill, he responded with, “Well, I wish I knew about this so I could have fixed it for you at the time.” While I understand that, it’s something he should communicate better with his staff.

It wasn’t just us - the entire patio was waiting over an hour for food, and we could hear the other tables openly talking about how unhappy they were. It was noticeable that the manager was avoiding tables rather than addressing the issue. In the end, they did take the drinks off the bill after we asked, but overall the experience was disappointing given the high prices for food and drinks.

Great view though.

15 minutes for anyone to come to table, 25 minutes to get our drinks, over an hour to get our food. Just avoid

We ordered a variety of dishes, to be honest I wasn't particular about the cod and chips, mostly because of the tartar. The other meals were all very good.

Had a fabulous meal at the Pacific Prime Restaurant. The Rathtrevor Seafood Boil was so good!!!!! Even the starting soup was amazing. My compliments to the chef. Our server was also awesome, she made sure the kids were allergy safe and gave us great service. On top of a great meal we also had a spectacular view of the ocean. Love this place.

Terrible service, but the food was fair. We had a party of 5 and a couple kids, and the auto gratuity of 20% was a bit irritating after poor service.

We were at the restaurant, but unfortunately the food was disappointing -the food taste wasn’t that good.

Great food, beautiful view. Kitchen was a little slow but they were working hard to get the food out. It was just really busy.

This a lovely restaurant with a great patio right by the Parksville boardwalk-right across the beach- along with a great selection of local wild seafood at their menu and great servers.
We always treat the friends and family here after a day with sand castles, concerts and other festivities at waterfront.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. They last minute accommodated a VERY important dinner event and came through when another restaurant we had originally booked with fell through. The food was great and service was smooth. They did amazing for our last minute table of 16. Thank you for coming to the rescue on our special day 🥂

My husband and I went out on a special date, and we have been eyeing this place for over a year now and we were excited to finally try it, and dipped into our budget a little for the experience. I ordered the farmhouse burger and my husband ordered the fish and chips with slaw. When the food came out it looked good, but when I bit into my burger I was shocked that it was literally just plain ground beef. It tasted like it had no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt. My husband’s fish also lacked seasoning and the breading was so thick, he wound up eating the fish out of the breading and leaving over half the breading on his plate. The fries were delicious, but the slaw also lacked seasoning. When they brought a replacement slaw, they literally just sprinkled a little salt on top. They offered to fix me something else, so I chose the nachos. When they brought it out, I was again disappointed with the lack of seasoning on the dish especially the ground beef sprinkled on top… it again tasted like plain ground beef with no seasoning, and if it would not have been for the sour cream, pico de gallo and salt shaker I requested, I do not know if I could have eaten it. We do not get to eat out at nice places often, and for the price, we would expect something significantly better than what you could get at a fast food place. Unfortunately we left disappointed and our spirits a little dampened from what was supposed to have been a special date experience and was not. I understand this could have just been an off day for the kitchen, things like that do happen, but it doesn’t make it any less disappointing for us. I must say though, our server was absolutely LOVELY and she did such a wonderful job!

Environment on the patio was amazing. Very beautiful. Our server was awesome. Not sure his name, but he was great :). The food was mediocre. Husband got the salmon dish. Salmon was dry. My son and I both ordered the fish and chips. Fish was over deep fryed and coleslaw was tasteless. Overall, food wasn't aweful, but wasn't great either. Would still come back again and order something different and see if that makes a difference.
