Best ramen I've had on the island! Our ramens were so fresh and also so flavorful without being overwhelming. It was perfect. So affordable and without add ons there was so much in each ramen. My partner loved his tonkatsu black, and this is a great spot for vegans and vegetarians too as the spicy veg ramen was incredible!

Love this little friendly place. My fifth visit I think. Presentation has changed since the beginning but still excellent tonkatsu ramen. My husband had the newer teriyaki chicken rice bowl and said it was perfectly cooked. Oishi des.

When the weather is dreary and cold, a bowl of ramen will always cheer me up. I've been wanting to try this place for some time and finally got to go there today. Got the Tonkatsu Ramen with added egg and it was just right. Service was friendly and effiicient. I will return when the weather gets me down again.

Amazing place! The portions are generous, the owner is very seeet and caring, the food is delicious, the prices are good.
Such a cozy and warm place. The ramen is absolutely amazing. I’ve probably never had anything tastier. The staff is super friendly! Anyone leaving a bad review here was just in a bad mood that day. The waitress even left us a few candies after we finished our ramen. That was really sweet and thoughtful! This place deserves ten stars!

Had a delightful meal at Ramen Eight. The service was excellent and the ramen soups were delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
My wife and I had lunch today at Ramen Eight. We were so excited at the potential for a great ramen that we drove from Port Alberni just to have lunch... and it did not disappoint! My wife had the black garlic tonkatsu, and I had the spicy tonkatsu... We both added an egg and veggies. The verdict: it was sooo delicious. The broth was super tasty and not too salty. The ramen egg made us both swoon - - it's just that good. Service was friendly, and our questions were answered well. The restaurant was empty at the time we arrived, which was surprising, but perhaps many folk aren't looking for soup on a hot summer day? We will definitely be back, as we have probably just found our new favourite soup spot on the island!

Small ramen shop with 4 tables. Great service and the kids got cute utensils and bowls. The ramen broth is likely from concentrated mix and ingredients used was not quite traditional but they got the ramen aldente and cha shu spot on. Likely ingredients like bean spouts and bamboo shoots are hard to get in Parksville. Hit the spot just have adjusted expectations.
