Really disappointed with management on their decision to first shorten Tuesday night karaoke, and now cancelling all together. Such a shame to see how downhill the establishment has gone over the last few years. If it weren't for the staff, I would have done this long ago but now I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I love this place. The foods good and shout out to Danielle for always being the best server. Glad to have the pool table back but to see our community shutting down by halfing, now fully removing, our karaoke night is truly sad and I will no longer be returning. This is our one bar in town and someplace for the younger generation to congregate. Very disappointing

Extremely loud TVs and zero options for vegans or vegetarians BUT the patio is lovely, the staff are friendly and the beer is fresh with a few great options on tap

We visited the most well-known bar in town during Día de los Muertos. ?

Although my mood was beaten up, some friendly locals helped guide me through the emotional landscape of the evening. Attracting good spirits isn't just about laughter; it's also about openly expressing that you miss someone who has passed away—whether they left recently or long ago. In a bittersweet moment, you can pour a shot of their favourite liquor into the soil as you share a drink with a comforting stranger.

I was grateful we stopped by. My initial thought of my sailor and I singing karaoke ? that night didn't happen. I'm sure it was for the best sake of all the present souls. It was just not the right time for that. However, the friendly staff played songs that helped me overcome my sadness and shake it off ?.

Thank you for hosting all the spirits around in such a grand fashion ?️☔?

I have been a few times during my little adventure around the island. Once for a sunny outside patio experience for Wed wing night. It was awesome. Great patio, the wings were perfect and the service was spot on.

Second time, another wicked experience. Wanted to catch part of a game, got a great seat with a perfect view of one of the many tv's. Super happy! The food was great and the service was amazing.

Last visit, a busy Saturday night, no big deal. Expected it and was happy to see it so packed. The waitress however, with the club foot, (severe limp) basically wished I wasnt there ordering dinner and drinks. My bad, on a Saturday night and all. A little off putting but not enough to dismay this seasoned BC local. And to be fair, she was super cool and smiley when things mellowed out.

Now for the really bad... I've travelled and eaten in the worst kept Asian restaurants all over Asia. Roddys bathroom on the pub side appears to have be shot up by Guns. It's a very close second to the Asian restaurants which says something. Broken floor tiles, weird stains on the walls. That's more than enough detail. I'm sure it's just an oversight from an otherwise keen manager or owner ?

I get it, the pub is old as Fk but the bathroom appears to have suffered from one hundred years of neglect. Fk'n disgusting

And don't get me wrong.... I'm a fan. I simply write what I see and experience.

The food and vibe is grand! Highly recommend!

And hilariously, a shocking cover band came on later while I was there. Easily the worst band I've ever heard in my life. Didn't plan on staying so long but it was a Saturday so rolled with it. They called themselves Vinyl Feedback. I so wish I could have pushed them back to when vinyl came out... gawd aweful

Overall a small town worthy experience

This is not a particularly inspired pub. It's a little tired and good for friends who are used to going there.

We came, 2 ladies from separate directions , to meet for lunch. The server, Alycia ? , I believe, was very accommodating. We stayed for a good length of time and she was very patient. The food was excellent. Butter chicken and fish and chips. Both of us were very satisfied. I will certainly come again.

Parking: So nice as a senior to have on location parking

Stopped in while visiting friends in Ladner.
We'd already had lunch so just played the slots.
We always enjoy going to a casino, when we get together.

I placed an order on DoorDash (surprised my mom with lunch) and it was made/delivered quick! My mom thoroughly enjoyed her Cali BLT and generous portion of fries that came with it. If you want a tasty quality BLT this is the place to go, pics don’t lie!
