Despite living in Nanaimo Salt is a go to spot for us to get a great pizza! love the dough used for the crust and the fine quality ingredients.

The pizza was heavy on the dough and light on the toppings (just olives)and not particularly flavorful. Ordered a greek pizza and it came with absolutely no vegetables. Cheese and olives only! Not what we expected. The price did not reflect the quality of the pizza. Very expensive!

Was expecting really good pizza but this was more than that. The best of the best thin but crispy dough and crust, excellent mozzarella, and seriously high quality meats. As good of a pizzeria I’ve had on Vancouver Island, and I’ve lived here almost 40 years.

I was surprised how little cheese they put on my pizza. My kids love Hawaiian but they didn't like this Hawaiian. Seems overpriced for the lack of cheese.

Pizza perfection. We watched the chef and he takes the job seriously! 😃 so satisfying to get a Devine pizza.
They had a few pizzas that could be veganized with either a commercial vegan cheese (I think violife?) or with their house made nooch-cashew cheese. We tried their nooch cheese — it was yummy but more like a sprinkle of nooch Parmesan, not a melting cheese. Crust and toppings were very good!

I finally tried Salt Pizzeria and I'm so happy that I did! To start, the service I had was very helpful and friendly. The pizzas I got were so delicious, I love the homemade crust. I was looking for dairy free/ vegan cheese for one of my pizzas and tried the cashew based vegan cheese they offer, and my pizza was so good! They also had a Christmas promotion where they give random upgrades to customers and I was lucky enough to have my pizza upgraded as well as a free loaf of sourdough bread! I'm honestly so impressed with the welcoming atmosphere here and great food, I will definitely be back!
