This used to be one of my favorite places for chicken chow mein back when it was called driftwood Chinese. But of course back then it was $14 for an order of chow mein and now it's $19. Which is a bit Rich for my blood. I guess I'm just going to stick to quality foods. 😅

I ordered takeout delivery and was told it would take 30-45 mins.
I was impressed that it arrived in about 20 mins.
Cost was reasonable for delivery
Food was Fresh and Delicious
I definitely will be ordering again

It was a great lunch buffet! Lots of selection, fresh, done well and tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant with good service and music.

I decided on the buffet for approx $30. Very disappointed. Mostly deep fried items, and all were so wet with grease. Hardly any items that had vegetables. Salad bar was with the deserts, which consisted of head lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Desserts were ice cream, jello, and three kinds of fruit. Save your money and go to QF. Definitely not going back.

Had late dinner there. Ordered food from menu, didn't try buffet. Black pepper beef on hot plate and fried rice taste so good!

This is the best Chinese buffet I've had in years! I was recommended to this place by a friend. Their sweet and sour pork is my favorite; the sauce is so special and the ingredients are so fresh. Their wontons are so filling, just one will fill my mouth. If you're ever in Parksville, you absolutely have to try it!

What use to be Tan's Kitchen, then Driftwood and after a year of nothing. Back to return is Tan's Kitchen. It's a bit better than Driftwood in terms of food and quality. However it's more expensive on the la carte menu. Most of the offerings are western Canadian Chinese food, so don't be expecting much authentic Chinese food here. The food is okay for what it is and the staff was nice. It's nice having another option to the Quality Foods chinese food bar.

Went on opening day, October 3/25. Food was fresh but chicken wings and spring rolls were too oily. No Dim Sum, which is what we love . Not a big enough selection. I think Driftwood was a way better choice.

Tried out Tan's Kitchen recently, and they were alright – not bad at all. I opted for the beef and broccoli, and it hit the spot. The flavors were decent, and the portion size was pretty satisfying. While it may not have blown me away, it's a solid choice if you're in the mood for some Chinese cuisine.
