The current menu was amazing. Wine pairings were lovely. Dave was a gem as a server. Very knowledgeable about the dishes and wines. The dip and dine is a treat and a worthwhile one, in my opinion. Soooooo much food though. Hubby ate it all, I struggled and wish I had room for later courses. Altogether, this was a hit. A spulge, but one worth of the money IMO.

The service was great. But the food while very attractive was completely tasteless (no seasoning at all) and was terrible. Except for two dishes, one that was actually good and another which was inedible (fermented mustard salmon). My husband left hungry and while it was endless tapas did want anymore.

I don't leave negative reviews often. This was just a far cry from what a dining experience at a spa should be. We were three people, and we got put on a two-top table, even though there were bigger tables available and nobody came in after us. The food and wines were all very crowded at the table, and it was a bit of a battle just to find space to eat, never mind have a relaxing enjoyable experience.
The food was ok. Certainly not exceptional, and certainly not worth $100. It felt very forced, like they were trying to be fancy and put on heavy flavors to make it bold, but it just got very muddled. The wines were all very sweet too, they did not pair well and I could barely finish any of them. Not to mention the whites that were third in your flight would get quite warm by the time you got to them...not exactly how whites are meant to be served.
The server was nice, and she conveyed a spa tone with her voice, but it also would have been nice if they noticed it was crowded at our tiny table and offered a more relaxing, spacious 4 top for the 3 of us to enhance our experience.
The whole experience between the "dip" and the "dine" was underwhelming. It felt like the owners are trying to force a spa in a space that doesn't allow it. Needs a bit of a work-over to live up to the "award winning" experience they advertise. Also - some of the 5 star reviews on here are from employees that don't disclose they are employees. That's a red flag.

Service was lovely. The food was... Unique? We found a lot of the flavour pairings less than desirable, some of them were honestly unfortunate. Took 2.5 hours for the whole service, with the first half of the menue flying out and the second half taking upwards of 15 minutes or longer between courses. My butt was so sore from sitting that long. Even if we had time to re-order the tapas, there were really none worth waiting for.
While the food was very fresh and very well presented, there was such a disconnect to the palate. The cold dishes were all well cooked, while the hot dishes seemed to struggle with proper cooking temperature, and sad sad overcooked scallops.
It was also notes that the menu and what was severed were not accurate, while some changes were notified to us, like the change of soup, the scallops were served with a surprise bacon jam, which for a lot of cultural/religious reasons should have been shared prior to the diner beginning their tasting.
Of all the plates, which included lamb, scallops, prawns, crab, halibut, the kale salad and the sponge cake for dessert, stood out the most, both having the best balance of flavour and texture... I feel like that says a lot.
There were 2 dishes we could not even finish: the take on a nicoise salad which was so bland my palate cried for tableside salt and pepper just to experience something, and the halibut with a bizarre sauce that was broken and overwhelming with saffron.
The experience was fun for the first hour, but the following hour and a half we were begging for it to be over to get back home and not be wearing a robe any longer. Absolutely not worth $300.
We were also not notified of auto gratuity and tipped well in addition.

We used to go there every year for our anniversary and this year we went w/o knowing they changed the menu completely.
The ingredients are fresh but the palette is not for everyone. Just like the other reviews, the chef likes to pair protein with fruits. The salmon we had was with a citrus sauce that taste like Sunny D - not a fan. The old menu has way more protein options like venison, lamb etc with vibrant sauce. Now it taste like someone on an island put together a meal for you with raw seafood and fruits where fire is a scarcity. Over half of the food we had was cold, cold fish, cold soup, numerous salads. The main sous vide beef lacks flavour and seasoning which was another disappointment.
If you have a light palette and have a really small appetite, you will definitely have a better time than we did.
We were not the only one that complained about the food, the table behind us did the same thing. Don’t worry, the server will not address your opinions in any way, he will give you a nice smile and take your automatic gratuity. Yes, the whole place have automatic gratuity including both spa, diner and mineral pool.

Highly recommend doing the endless tapas!

Excellent service and food so tasty.

Allocate about 2.5 hours and make sure you are hungry.

(Don’t bother with the Grotto - that wasn’t worth $70 IMO but again, staff were excellent in the spa!)

We came for dip and dine. Love the spa and the dip half of the experience.

The amuse bouche was yummy and the gluten free bannock I was served as a substitute for the bread course was delicious. The rest of flavours were confusing.

Our server was almost apologetic when serving us the watermelon and beet gazpacho and mentioned that the taste was not for everyone. It certainly wasn’t! There were aspects of each dish that were okay but the beautiful ingredients used were often in overly bitter or overly sweet fruit sauces. For example, the tuna was served with large spoonfuls of strong flavoured blackberry foam and blackberry vinegar. The blackberry foam dominated the space on the plate. The green beans and cherry tomatoes in this dish were drowned in the blackberry sauce, which didn’t pair very well. The blackberry flavour was overwhelming and it was very difficult to taste anything else. It seemed like a waste of these fresh, gorgeous ingredients.

The plates seemed to get worse as we went down the menu. I found the overly bitter or overly sweet flavours often inedible and poorly paired with the ingredients they were served with. For example, last course was halibut with a potato and greens salad. The greens were covered in an extremely bitter lime dressing and so were the potatoes. The flavours of the halibut were also very bitter and the sauce was a heavy cream sauce that didn’t have much flavour. I was frustrated because this was a beautiful piece of halibut and I was not able to eat it.

The price for this meal was $100 per person and it was definitely not worth the money.

Another note: As I was scrolling though reviews post-meal to find out if others had a similar experience, I discovered that our server for the meal has left a 5 star google review for the tapas, not disclosing that that they are on staff. The server has a very unique name so it is easy to understand that it was our server. This made me wonder if any other staff members have done the same.

After our spa experience we headed over to Tree Top for our tapa experience. We were told to arrive 15 minutes, in fact they only will be sitting you at another waiting area (which some coffee and tea , also snacks provided).

This is not your quick service restaurant for sure, it took us around 2.5 hours for everything. The menu you see will be served to u once before you can order anything as a repeat. I am not sure if they have a menu that's different daily or weekly so please bare in mind.

Overall, I am actually confused with the food I was served, often mixed with fruits (sweet) and some savory (meat etc). A lot of texture which I am not used to as well. I personally prefer the original taste of the food, and with the seasoning provided I have a hard time to get a good taste of the ingredients they used.

It takes roughly 15 minutes for each dishes to come to our table. They have around 1-2 staff working, and each gets around 2-3 tables. They are attentive, and detail oriented. Amazing service. Atmosphere is alright, looking out the window you have the resort cabin and tree but that's it.

For the price I am paying, I personally think you can get it somewhere else for better. Or even make your own dishes.

Off the charts excellent food! Every course of tapas was a beautiful taste experience. Still stunned by the creativity of each taps course served. The dip and dine tapas is a special treat, entirely because of the creations by chef Lucas!

The food was very creative and executed well, but too much similarity between courses (lot of berry influence and fish). Too much food and dense for a spa afternoon. Nice concept for dinner though!

2 stars for the spa and grotto which were both chill, clean and not too busy.
The tapas were absolutely terrible and a waste of money. My self and a friend almost threw up due to the taste of more than one dish. There were 2 meat dishes, a lamb and halibut that were cooked by sous vide and almost all the food was served cold. Had it stated that in the menu, we would not have went. Many of flavours were not palatable, or there was a lack of flavour.

They have changed their prices for services and now you are not able to enjoy the pool, hottub and lounge with your treatment. It’s an extra $95/person, ON TOP of your service - outrageous

After a lovely time in the grotto spa, we went up for our tapas, which was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time! It was very evident the care that is given to the menu choices, the presentation, the flavour combinations and the outstanding service by Jill and her colleague. The price person was very reasonable given the menu.Thank you for creating such a memorable experience! We will definitely be back!
