I used to live in the city prior to moving to pitt meadows. Sushi was everywhere. Kisoji is a top sushi restaurant. Only a few places in vancouver best this spot. The sauces are unique and different compared to the classic sushi houses that use generic spicy sauces. Its the only place we get sushi now… Spicy agadeshi tofu, spicy tuna roll, anything chicken. Sashimi is fresh. Definately recommend.

My first time here and I thoroughly enjoy my time here! Excellent friendly service, the food was prepared very quickly and I really enjoyed everything I ordered. I suggest you give them a try!

Probably the best sushi option in Pitt meadows. Its stripmall sushi. Works for a quick lunch but if its a date night just head into the city bro!

Overall and personally, I feel that Kisoji missed the mark. That said, perhaps my standards for basic take-out sushi are higher than I expected.
I chose Kisoji based on: proximity to my work; having great reviews; decent prices! The food was prepared quickly, and was greeted at pick-up with smiling faces and multiple 'hello's. So far, so good :)
I opened my order upon arriving home, and everything looked lovely! Perfectly-sized pieces, just the right amount of rice, and everything looked lovely and smelled fresh.
That said, the first thing I noticed was the most disappointing serving of gomaae that I have ever seen. The whole serving was no larger than 2 tablespoons-worth, even after fluffing up. For the price of $7.75, I would have expected no less than twice the amount I had received. I understand that times are tough and the cost of goods is reaching extreme values, however times are tough for us all. Despite being the best-tasting item in my order, I would not order it again solely based on price. (I can't speak for dine-in serving sizes, which may be different).
Overall, the rolls looked great, however I found they were lacking in flavour. The negitoro roll was tender and fresh, and the beef teriyaki roll was quite dry. I don't normally order rolls with imitation crab, so I don't have much of a comparison for the Smoked Salmon roll, although the smoked salmon was clearly fresh and the roll looked lovely. All of the rolls were tasty, but simply lacking in flavour based on personal taste.
The veggie sunomono was perfectly sweet and sour, yet also a very, very small portion.
The ginger and wasabi entirely missed the mark for me. Both items seemed fully lacking of that 'bite' that one would expect; the entire portion of wasabi I had received was used in just a few pieces of roll.
Overall, yes, Kisoji is a little gem and I fully appreciated the freshness and quality of the items, however I was left feeling quite disappointed with my satisfaction and pleasure after a $45 order.
I hope that both the restaurant and review readers can appreciate this review; my intention is not to give praise to nor negate, but is purely to provide my experience. I bid you all good eats :)
Sat down and was presented a menu. Within roughly 10 mins I was approached 6 times and asked if I was ready to order. This was after I had already ordered an appetizer. This place used to be good but has now gone to high pressure used car salesman tactics to get you in and out as quick as possible. Sad. 😔

This place is such a hidden gem! The ramen was so good, and in my opinion some of the best in the lower mainland! The BBQed chicken they use makes it have a really unique flavor. The service was also very friendly and fast, and I loved the wood paneling - which made the place feel cozy on a cold rainy night. Will for sure be back, this is one of my new favorite places!

Delicious food and great service! Owners are very kind and accommodating. The quality of food and customer service shows! Kisoji will always be my family’s favourite Japanese restaurant.

I normally never leave reviews good or bad for places but I was so disappointed with my order (Even left a 15% tip for take out) I decided to share my experience. I ordered the Jack cha han & the description included shiitake mushrooms & pickled cucumbers. There were no shiitake mushrooms in sight & a tiny amount of pickled cucumbers. At $19/dish it was definitely disappointing as I was looking forward the most to the shiitake mushrooms. I also ordered the squid karaage & it came with an already squeezed slice of lime that was hot from being in the take out container with the hot squid, & the dill sauce was in sad shape from also being in the hot container. The portion was also quite small. I will definitely not be ordering these dishes again & won’t be going back again because I don’t trust the quality of the food will be good.

My friend and I come here once a year when we each drive from separate cities and meet up to go paddling and then for lunch. The food is fantastic, and somehow, the service is even BETTER. We have always been welcome to take our time and make the most of our visit. Refills of water are brought time and again. My niece is treated SO well. The food is fresh and beautifully plated. Thank you for another wonderful experience.

I’m only writing this review because they don’t answer the phone. So I went and picked up lunch today told the lady at the front it was for pick up she grabbed the food then put the price in the pos
And put it down on the table I tapped to pay and didn’t think anything of it she told the the total of 50.93$ I get back to work and look over the bill to split with co workers and she automatically made me pay a extra 15% tip on top of the bill did not ask did not disclose the tip to me or say anything about it and as far as I know that is theft it is my choice to chose the amount to TIP! Or even tip at all I didn’t eat at the restaurant there for I don’t tip for service I did not receive and that is considered theft I would never make some one pay for something they didn’t get absolutely unacceptable!! Hope they reach out

I am a regular diner at Kisoji, and with good reason! Their food is fresh and delicious and their service is excellent. The restaurant itself is bright (but not too bright!) and spacious, clean and modern. They also have the capacity to host larger groups (with a reservation), which is great for special occasions!

Great Katsu curry, toasted sesame seeds on the roll somewhat overpowered the fish in my opinion.

Cute and simple Japanese restaurant that offers off menu specials. We tried to scallop motoyaki, and it was too saucy for us. The toro and kids menu were amazing!
