Ok, so I have a new favorite sandwich joint! Went to get some sandwiches for the crew and they were closed(Tuesday after a long weekend). I looked in the windows and the ladies were just finishing a HUGE catering job. As we were walking away we were called back, invited in and they made us the most amazing and huge sandwiches! Homemade honey dill mustard is incredible. Thank you so much Lunch Doctor!

On our journey driving from Alaska to Arizona, my husband and I made it a priority to stop at The Original Lunch Doctor in Pitt Meadows, BC for lunch. Why? Because my grandmother, Elsie Hatlen, is the founder of this local legacy and amazing sandwich shop! I haven't been here in at least 30 years (I was somewhere between 7 and 10 years old) when Grandma let me help in the back kitchen. The giant mixer was my favorite - and apparently it's still there! Been going to lunch doctor for years and years and it never disappoints! I recently went and got my usual turkey sandwich on French and it was delicious. The only negative was that as I was walking in, I saw one of the employees was outside smoking a cigarette with her apron on, went to go throw something in the garbage can and grazed her apron on the garbage can. Might not be a bad idea for management to go over food safe expectations with the employees. Other than that everything...
