Never been before. Did takeout tonight. I had the salmon bowl. It was phenomenal. So many flavours that all just worked so well together. I will 100% order from here again.

Excellent fish and chips with friendly staff and good service.

The food is a solid 5 star. Halibut fish battered and fried just right. Served with chips and ask them for the malt vinegar spray. Nice touch so that the batter doesn't get soggy.

Salads and other items are good with shareable portion sizes too. Service is good with super friendly and helpful staff. Nice stopover.

Stopped by again because i really liked the place. Was a little surprised! Looks like they are in the process of rebranding themselves. From Bare Bones to Off The Hook. Menu is slightly changed but still solid consistent quality. Staff is unchanged and stellar.

This was our second time eating here and again, it was excellent. The food is so good, the waitresses are attentive, it's peaceful and the patio is lovely on a sunny evening. I really recommend

Our first experience was Amazing. The second is not so much. The brisket tacos the meat was dry and burnt. My partner asked for a two-piece fish and only got one. The restaurant wasn't that busy, so that mistake was silly. The fries were double dipped. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery.

We went for dinner and Unfortunately the fish was not done well at all. My brother in law and I both had the cod fish and chips - it was terrible. The coating for the fish and chips was hard and greasy. My sister in law had the fish tacos and was ill during the night. I'm not sure if the oil was bad but something definitely wasn't right. As an out of town visitor, I can honestly say that I probably won't be back again.
I probably should have sent it back right from the get go but my husband told me to just eat the fish (minus the batter).
It's too bad since this place came highly recommended ?

Had the halibut fish and chips at Bare Bones, the halibut was light and flakey. Best fish and chips I've ever had, hard to beat. The tartar sauce was great, they put dill in the tartar sauce which gives it a nice flavour. Fries were good, coleslaw was a little watery.

We had our dinner when we visited Port Alberni. I selected this restaurant by looking for its reviews.
But I am very disappointed with the selection of food. There are very few vegetarian dishes.
The cleaningness is also an issue. Mosquitoes were flying.
I will not visit there .

Mainlanders driving from Tofino to Duke Point saw this restaurant. We had the beef tacos and one piece halibut and chips. The food was exceptional. The staff equally exceptional. We are recommending an eating experience here. Cheers and thank you for a geat lunch.
