Food Was terrible , 1 hour long wait on wensday is crazy. 30$ chicken tasted like indian street food

Burger was subpar; service so-so, and overcharged for food on the bill. I don't plan to go back.

Had dinner here on Saturday, arriving about 5:30 pm. We were quickly seated, then waited about 25 minutes for a server to take our drink order. About 20 minutes after that, , my husband actually went to the bar and retrieved our drinks himself, after they sat there for 15 minutes. That finally got their attention, so we got to order food! The place was about one-third full, with several servers! Really! Food was good, at least, average size portions despite what previous reviews describe. Can’t imagine how long service would take if it was busy!

I came in for my 18th birthday party and we were served by Brandylee and she was genuinely so amazing. So funny, and such a great waitress. I tried leaving her an extra tip and she wouldn't even let me because it was my birthday. She made it feel like I was being served by a friend and every time I come back, because I love the food so much, I hope to have her as my waitress. Lots of love for Brandylee and this restaurants amazing food!!

Took my Aunt here for her birthday lunch after hearing the most amazing things. Portions are big for the price, but the food was completely bland. We both had chicken burgers. The fries were old and did not taste good. Our waitress was not attentive. Disappointed.

If you like the true pub feel and country music this is the place.

I come and visit my friend every year and this is the 1st place we hit up. Waitress knows me even tho they see me once or twice a year. Love the beer and love the food. Great service everyone is friendly.

I've eaten here a handful of times with my family, and my dad keeps going for the dry garlic spare ribs because he's stubborn and loves those things, but all 3 times my whole family including my dad noticed that the dry ribs were very dried out completely and had next to zero moisture in the meat.

Other than that, we've been pretty happy to come back here. I had the cheeseburger quesadilla last time and was very surprised at how great the flavour was in the beef. I would for sure order that again the next time I come here.

I do remember last time that when my family and I sat outside, (we weren't the only ones sitting outside), that the service did take forever. What could have been about a 45-50 minute meal turned out to be about an hour and a half. I seem to remember waiting forever to get our food, then waiting forever to get a chance to ask for our bill. These types of things happen, but this one took so long that it was worth mentioning.

This was about 3 months ago, I'm just writing a review now because I get on a roll once I start writing reviews and catch up on places I haven't wrote about yet.

This review seems more so on the negative side, but I think other than the dry spare ribs, this place was just having an off day. I would totally come back here again, and haven't forgot about how good that cheeseburger quesadilla is.

I remember sitting at the bar once and the lady making the drinks was pretty cool to talk to.

I'm giving this place a 3/5 stars, but feel like it deserves 4. If this place had zero hiccups the next time I come here then I'd change this review to a 4/5 for sure. The inside of the pub is a pretty cool atmosphere.

The best pub /comfort food in Port Alberni. Seem they make almost everything from scratch. Don't visit Port without eating here,...you wont be dissapointed
