Bucksnort's Bar & Grill

My wife and I had been working on the island. After a long and difficult first week we found ourselves craving the comforts of a couple plates of hot brown. Bucksnorts did not disappoint with some tasty food, served in large portions, along side a couple cold mugs of beer. Bonus points for this place being the first place our baby tried a lime.

Our server was handling the place solo and I was impressed with how smoothly she made the rounds. Settling bills, clearing tables, greeting new patrons and pouring drinks all while keeping cool and checking in to see how we were doing. No small feat in a decent sized room. Didn’t catch her name but shout out to her anyway.

Great atmosphere. Great time.

The food was delicious with HUGE portions so amazing value for your dollar. The waitress we had last Friday was absolutely terrific at her job! Gave suggestions, chatted with us and was fun without being obnoxious and overly friendly! Great decor and atmosphere as well. Will drive from Nanaimo to go there over and over again!!!

This is your typical small town pub fare. The food was good. The menu had limitations, adult bevvies had limitations, but the service was great!

Great stuff eh

Stopped in for late lunch/early dinner. Had the special chicken burger with mozzarella, pineapple and Teri sauce. Added the poutine option. DELICIOUS and filling!

The exterior seemed a bit sketchy, but the interior is really well done. Will definitely stop again for a meal on our way through.

You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely must see place when stop by at Port Alberni.
Size of plates like I visited last time pub in Houston US. Very authentic atmosphere and friendly staff.

All around great place. Waitress was amazing friendly and very patient loved her vibe.

Kid-friendliness: Ok so I went there with a friend and her toddler and he's a hellion big time and nobody said a word or complained while he ran around tearing the place up. Lol
