I went through the drive through about twelve thirty today and ordered a banana spilt.When I got home to eat it the banana was brown and falling apart, not very appetizing.I took the banana off and threw it away.What a disappointment that treat was. I’ve never had this happen before. What would ever possess the person that made this treat to do such a thing.I will be complaining next time I go there?

We ordered banana splits with extra toppings which costed $1.92 extra. There was definitely not anything extra put on. I posted a picture. When we called to complain the woman argued that she put extra on and in the end told us to never come back. We called Dairy Queen headquarters to do a formal complaint. From now on we will support the Dairy Queen in Parksville or Nanaimo.

Confused at this location, it does not seem to offer franchise deals as the rest of the DQ’s across Vancouver island and BC.Strange, when ordering a banana strawberry smoothie through drive through, I am responded with they don’t carry smoothies. Every DQ I’ve ever been to on Vancouver island sells fruit smoothies. Is this just another franchise item not offered at this location or are the staff unaware of their own franchise menu.I think I’ll pass this location up when DQ comes to mind while in Port Alberni

I haven’t been able to order a custom ice cream cake for three years now. First it was because they needed 24 hours notice, fair enough. Then, they didn’t have anyone to do custom cakes (besides all the decorated cakes in the freezer), now they need 48 hours notice. My wife, despite being disappointed, decided to order food. Was told that it would take 30-45 minutes. As she was leaving she slipped on the wet floor. The staff did NOTHING apart from advise her to be careful.Later, the same day, my extra son (a child who stays with us on the weekends), was at the store with his social worker. The staff initially refused to serve them for unspecified reasons. After some time spent discussing it with “the manager” they decided that they could in fact take their order. No explanation provided.Also, I have yet to see a single burger being grilled in the restaurant. Only microwaved burgers being served.Not impressed at all.
Excellent food quality and speed of service...we got the two can dine chicken finger deal and had great communication on the time of our meal and that we had to move off to another location for other guests to get their burgers.

Food is always hot.No screw ups with our orders. Son always gets plain cheeseburgers.This is a tricky order at some other places.Staff always friendly.Maybe waited 5 mins. Big deal. I didn't have to cook or do dishes!Requested last minute change to our order no problem!Thanks DQ staff for a great meal and evening!!

Good eats and desserts! Ordered a poutine, ice cream cone, ice cream sandwich and dilly bar for the family occupied a roomy booth in the corner! Excellent customer service on this visit ?Kid-friendliness: Kids were climbing everywhere after eating their frozen treats... no complaints or awkward looks. Left as soon as everyone was finished to quickly get to a local beach to burn some energy ?♀️?♂️Parking: Unsure of how many spots but close the to entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes!

Our first time in a DQ!! Had to ask for the key to the washroom! Ordered, hot drinks….yucky, over sweet! Waited 30 mins then asked about our meal……’there was a problem, we gave your order to someone else and are having to remake it’!!! No apology, no explanation just left to wait ? Food was mediocre at best, chips barely warm……cost $36+can. Never again in any DQ You only get one chance to make a 1st impression ?????
