Some friends were visiting for the weekend and we wanted to take kayaks out without having to go all the way to Tofino so rented three kayaks from fish and duck.Booking experience was 5 stars.Person at the shop was great and very friendly. We were an hour late because of unforseen traffic and they allowed us to start our 3 hour time from when we arrived.Price point was initially expensive but turns out it was a booking system error. When Gary was made aware of the error they were very quick to rectify the issue and refunded us for the difference.2 of the kayaks we had were great and did the job; however, one of the kayaks was an antique that should have been in a museum.... or better yet thein the bin. It was absolutely cursed and veered hard left when getting any sort of momentum making it near impossible to go anywhere. (Turns out this was not Fish and Duck’s kayak and was put out for us by accident).Despite the mix up we made the best of the day making to see the water bombers up close, across the the landing and back.Looking forward to seeing where we will end up next time around.

I cant believe this amazing service exists on Vancouver Island. This is the best option for a group vacation or special event. The houseboats are all unique and in great condition. The staff and ownership make everyone feel safe and confident before going out on the water and if something goes wrong or help is needed they are just a phone call away and will come out to help you with anything needed. This is one of the most fun things I have ever done and will keep coming back year after year! Not to mention there is an amazing pub attached and airbnb opportunities at the resort!! Unreal, Thanks Fish and Duck!

This was my fifth time houseboating, and fourth with fish and duck. The boats are always clean and equipped with everything you need. Staff is quick to fix issues when they arise. And the lake is absolutely stunning. Five rubber duckies for fish and duck.?????

We had such a fun time this past August taking a house boat out for a couple of days. Such a great way to spend time with family or friends waking up on the water each day. Sproat lake is beautiful and exploring it on a house boat is such a fun way to see the whole lake!

This was my first time on a house boat and it was amazing! They had a hot tub, slide, BBQ, everything you needed. The staff were friendly and did a walk through to show you how to use everything. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting to have some fun in the sun. Just remember that a couple people need their boat license and you'll be good to go. Thanks again for everything, we'll see you next year!

I had the pleasure of partaking in the rental of a houseboat last week. Location of Fish & Duck is easy to find, all employees were wonderful to deal with. Food and drinks at the pub were outstanding. Highly recommend spending your summer vacation at this little slice of heaven!

Thank you to the Fish and Duck for an incredible September long, it was my first time on a house boat, I was invited by the captain of the 5 o'clock crew. Now that I know this is a thing I will definitely be coming back sharing this experience with my family. The entire experience was magical, Highly recommended them!
This was my 4th time house boating at fish and duck. I was on the 5 o'clock boat this time. The new owners here are amazing. The check-in process was quick and easy. The boats are clean. Full kitchen supplies. There is a hot tub and slide on board. The staff is super friendly. Every time I go houseboating here, the experience just gets better and better! I will definitely be back again!!! ❤️❤️❤️

If you're on the island or the lower mainland, and you've got lots of friends who want to have a good time in the summer, then I really don't think there's a better option out there than the Fish and Duck!The boats are fully equipped and if you run into issues you can radio the homebase and they'll send someone out to help!Plus, the lake is absolutely gorgeous!
