Great place for breakfast/brunch.
Restaurant get quite busy on mornings and with limited tables.
Egg Benedict was good, hot chocolate was great even though the prices are slightly high.
Service and plating were extraordinary!
The flowers in the vase and vivid colored interiors makes the ambiance more aesthic.

The most delicious Benny Bowl I've ever had! ... I paired it with a yummy cesar on the side... perfect brunch! They accommodated 12 of us for lunch/brunch and gave awesome service! Highly recommend

Used Google Reviews to find a breakfast place in Port Alberni. Thanks, Google, this was exactly what we were looking for. Pleasant staff, sunny table, good food. We will come back and will recommend to friends and family.

Had a really good dining experience at The Broken Bow. The Benny bowl was delicious, it’s definitely a great option if you’re not feeling like having the heaviness of a traditional eggs Benny on the English muffin. Instead, you get the poached egg with a delicious hollandaise (one of the best I’ve had), on top of cubed potato’s, bacons bits, avocado and some pico de gallo.

My fiancé got the chicken sandwich and said it was cooked well and seasoned well, so would recommend that as well.

I had the local ciderys sparkling lemonade which was absolutely delicious. Next time I’m in the area I want to try the loaded ceaser, and the table next to me had it and it looked phenomenal.

Keep an eye out for daily specials! They keep it updated.

Best breakfast on the island! Today’s benny special was winter squash and bacon jam and it was so good. The service was fab, the coffee was good but the benny stole the show - so freaking good. Hope to pop back in on the way back from Tofino.

This was our first visit. Excellent food, prices are average I would say for a quality meal. West Coast benny was excellent, according to the seafood lovers in our group. Good selection of options for the benny's. Bacon, chorizo, etc. Service was really good. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful art for sale throughout the restaurant. They do a great job of supporting local businesses and artists. Loved it!

This is a surprisingly fabulous, local café. Not a chain restaurant. We went in for a coffee but stayed for a full breakfast (The traditional.)
The service was very friendly and attentive without being annoying. The staff didn’t come across as bored or rushed. They listened, got the order right, and the food was cooked to perfection and delicious - not greasy not burnt. The toast I ordered was gluten free and better than the average GF bread. Even their presentation of basic food was an extra detail that sets this place apart. The cappuccino was excellent (I was there with an Italian so this is an important detail!) Just as impressive was that they knew how to serve tea. A pot. A cup. A spoon. A small pitcher of milk. On a tray. Not a mug with a squashed tea bag stuck to the side and nowhere to put it.
The Broken Bow was also Clean! The table was clean, the cutlery was clean, the floor and counter and washroom were all clean. Amazing perk in this day and age and greatly appreciated.
And… the music was good- an eclectic mix of greats from several decades and not too loud.
Whomever owns this café knows how to find great staff- the two cooks, the two severs. I highly recommend this happy little gem.

My meal was 36.00, I ordered two kids breakfast for my children, and a couple sides for myself. Prices were decent 😐. Poached eggs are cooked in too much vinager, ( even though I said they weren't at the restaurant) I would have gave five stars, I gave a $7 tip and when I asked for my decaf coffee to be topped up with a little bit more decaf she said no... Probably because they have one of those automatic coffee drip things but still come on it's the 21st century there should always be a pot of decaf on. Because of this no extra coffee top ups, we won't be returning.
