Great food, good price, fast service. Would recommend!

We got chicken strips and chips along with a poutine. Then chicken strips were chicken strips. The fries were good; however; the poutine was lacking. Lacking gravy and truly lacking enough curdes to be considered poutine at all. I think we counted 5 five curdes in total :(

Some of the BEST fish and chips in Port Alberni! Batter is golden and crispy, fish is thick, flaky and juicy. (Cod as they were sold out of Halibut today). Gotta try their battered prawns, so thick, golden and juicy! Fries are flavourful, and fresh cut. Everything is made fresh to order by the friendly cook/ server. Order at the counter and eat at a nearby picnic table or bring to a bench to enjoy the ocean view.

We tried cod, salmon and halibut fish and chips. All were good, but Halibut was soo juicy, definitely our favorite. But seating inside is closed and it is very windy outside, but you will be coming by car anyway.

Located right at Harbour Quay, this cozy little spot definitely lives up to its sign—“One bite and you’re hooked!” I grabbed the classic Fish and Chips, and it was absolutely spot on. The fish was fresh and perfectly golden, with a light, crispy batter that didn’t feel greasy. The fries were just the right amount of crisp, and the side of tartar sauce and lemon wedge tied it all together nicely.

Loved the no-fuss, casual vibe and quick service. It’s a simple takeaway box, but the flavors pack a punch! You can tell they’ve been serving quality food for years.

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re visiting Port Alberni and craving a good, classic fish and chips.

I really enjoy coming here for fish and chips . The owner works very hard and in my opinion does a fantastic job . The fish is always perfect with a nice light tempura type batter that is crispy and delicious and fries that seem to be crispy and good as well . All in all excellent place to go and chill out watch the scenery and enjoy some good fish and chips .

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps anywhere easy wheelchair access to picnic tables, and all other areas bathrooms boardwalk other shops, etc .

Can't comment on food as he didn't even come to the window when I rang the bell. Was rude and didn't even f lift his head to speak to me outside and no eat in service!!

Salmon was flakes and flavorful. Best ever!

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS ON THE ISLAND HANDS DOWN!!!!! seriously this place slaps!!! We got the 2 piece cod with fries and coleslaw each. And that cod wow, just wow. I will absolutely travel from Nanaimo now just to get food here. For 2, 2 piece meals was about 48$ inc tax. Which is pretty on par for fish and chips. Fries were fluffy like a cloud. Was the perfect amount. We left nice and full. Also came with a lemon wedge and super tasty tartar sauce. Absolutely 100% recommend stopping here you will not be disappointed!!!!!! That batter is something else keep up the great work!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pleasantly surprised by the quality and portions. Crisp batter, not too greasy. Thick, well cooked fries. 6 piece cod and chips fed my family of 5!
