Cute enough place, when in Port Alberni. Cappuccino was good. Brew coffee is individual poor-over which takes long to make for a group. GF options if you're into those. Other pastries acceptable, would be nice if they could heat them up

Yesterday my wife and I went to get iced matcha something that is on their menu. We were given a cup a milk with vanilla flavoring and according to the barista “matcha”. We normally don’t complain so went to the car and discussed going back in as there was absolutely no matcha in our cups. We went in and apologized but asked for a refund as our “matcha” was white whereas it should be a dark bright green colour. We said it tasted like flavoured milk. The barista told us he put in the correct amount of matcha so it wasnt milk and refused to give a refund, he offered to add another serving of matcha so we agreed assuming there would be matcha in it. He was quite rude about us having said something as well. He added the 2nd serving of matcha”matcha”, the cup was almost exactly the same colour. We decided to leave as it was obvious the business does not know how to make matcha and it shouldn’t be on their menu at all.

The décor of this coffee shop was quite unique and perfectly matched its name—even the washroom carried the same theme. I especially liked the use of dark wood tones and lights. The place was clean, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed a pleasant chat with them about our trip to the island. The coffee itself was tasty and served promptly.

Planned our family road trip around visiting this cafe. Arrived to find the business closed despite Google saying they’re open. We had been speculating which witchy treats we were going to try but left sad.
