I ate there about a week ago. Food was solid, service was absolutely terrible. This place is dead to me now.The people who on this restaurant need to invest in proper training for their staff. This level of poor service is totally unacceptable.

Have been a customer since they opened. Always had friendly and fast service. Not any more. Sat and waited for our order for 45 minutes while tables that arrived after us had their meals promptly. Frustrated with the lack of interest and urgency on from server. Asked if they ordered out for our entree . I don’t think our food order made the kitchen . Needless to say We cancelled our order and left hungry. Thought they could care less about customer’s being fed. Sorry to say that I spoke highly of this establishment in the past. Hope no I know has the same experience and if they do they won’t hold me responsible after past glowing recommendations I have made over the past 3 years. We won’t be back and will tell our friends and associates to give this place a pass.

I can only judge this by our take out order - we did not sit in as we had to put the boys down to bed...Someone recommended this spot for a much needed sushi hit. So we ordered from their "favourite menu" B & D as they sounded quite delicious...I drove out to pick it up and brought it home to eat. Upon the first few pieces....my husband said "umm the rice is raw". I couldn't believe it! I said no way...they can't screw up rice... but sure enough, they did. It was bits of raw rice - mixed into cooked rice?!? I don't know but I called them back to inform them. They were apologetic and offered to give us a credit for "next time" but I definitely didn't want the credit since we were from out of town and likely weren't going to try them again. They said if I was willing to drive back, they'd be willing to remake it. Of course I was...so back and forth...brought it back... sure enough, not as bad but still not well executed rice. Sigh. The flavours were definitely good, they used gochujang sauce for their spicy rolls which was interesting. When they say spicy, they weren't joking... even my husband who enjoys spice thought it was on the hotter end. We especially liked the BC roll!

Nice calming atmosphere I like the music. The food is good I recommend the torched Nigiri fire. The Alaska roll left much to be desired, perhaps a sauce on top would elevate it to the next level. Staff are all super friendly and accommodating except this one lady who is tall and has bangs and never smiles. I asked her if I could sit in the corner and she said no because that area is for large parties, but then other staff proceeded to seat smaller parties in that corner. She was not accommodating or friendly. Not sure why she said no to me but then other staff said yes to other small parties.

Overall food was really fresh and tasty for the reasonable price point. Bento and wakame salad portions were a lot larger than I thought they would be which was a plus. Tempura was crispy, Cali rolls were good, miso was hot and fresh. Torched salmon was okay. One server came to check on us every once in a while and was quite pleasant and smiled a lot. The restaurant was pretty quiet and clean (smelled of cleaner when I walked in).Would recommend and would go back.

Top Sushi restaurants I've ever been to. I have been to many all over the lower mainland. Haven't been going anywhere else for Sushi locally since trying the food here. My husband and I come here weekly now as it is our favorite. Highly recommended. I love their veggie tempura rolls with brown rice and the miso is so flavorful. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere is clean cozy and not loud. Good lighting and plenty of space for family seating too. Glad I don't have to go too far for the best sushi around. I love and appreciate the visual menu and the green tea they serve is awesome. Excellent veg options as well for vegetarian/vegan folks. There are so many dishes I'd still like to try soon. Never disappointed, always want to come back. Thank you Sushi On! Don't hesitate to come here folks, just go and getcha SushiOn! :D Merry Christmas!

I work in the area and my co-worker recommended this place. We went for lunch and I was pretty satisfied. It is quite beautiful and modern. We ordered a variety of items. The spicy agadashi tofu was one point. I've had spicy before and it was sopping in sauce. This was the perfect amount and was soooo good. The rolls were good, except one was too fishy tasting for me and my friend. The spring rolls were on point, as well as the shrimp tempura. I am planning on coming back. If you're in the area, you should really come and have some grub. The service is excellent. This place seems like it would be a great night out. Looking forward to coming back.

Always love coming here. The quality of food is above anywhere else in the tri-cities. Everything you have is always amazing. The yakisoba is super fresh and soft. The aburi oshi is made perfectly and textured great. Overall a great place that I love coming back to all the time. Even the service is usually really good. And not to mention that you can order through the QR code which is super handy.

Almost a 4 star. Had to keep on flagging the server for drinks. Price is comparable to the sushi joints around. Pieces seems to be slightly better. Didn’t care for the Chirashi where the seafood was chopped up. Update…ordered take out and the portion of the fish was super disappointing

This restaurant is very busy, especially for takeout. They could use a waiting room area or a bench outside. Something needs to be done to organize the chaos at the front door. The inside is nice. Especially the lighting. It was clean and had a few nice design features. The rolls were different sizes and prices. Some medium and some big. The food came on nice bowls and plates. The menu had good pictures. No big tables for large groups and I wouldn't recommend the menu for kids that aren't use to sushi. I give the food a solid B. The staff were scurrying about the entire time and forgetting things because they were trying to keep track of so much. They forgot to bring us part of our meal and didn't check on our table until we were done. The music was also too fast paced and it seemed like as soon as we finished our meal they wanted us out of there so they could seat more people. I would say the restaurant and food is pretty good but the atmosphere is hurried and rushed and they need more staff. Over charging people for food that you didn't bring them seems to be a popular little scam amongst sushi restaurants in general. We have probably experienced that over a dozen times.

I've always wanted to try this new-ish sushi place nearby so last Friday we did a take away. We ordered chicken teriyaki, gyoza, spicy salmon sashimi, "Menu A" and, takoyaki. It's a bit pricier than the other sushi restos in the area but they seem to have a better selection of combined sushi and, the fish was very fresh. "Menu A" consisted of California roll, dynamite roll and spicy tuna (my choice). I really liked the rice that surrounded the rolls, it was neither too sticky nor too soft and had the right balance of sweetness and acidity. The spicy salmon sashimi was also very good. The fish was cut so evenly and the sauce was thick, sweet and spicy. The portion of the teriyaki was generous and well sauced. T1he appys were disappointing though. For $9, we got 4 overly fried gyoza (was it deep fried???). It was dry and tasteless. The takoyaki was also a bust. The exterior was also over dried and, the octopus was tough, dry and tasteless - the creamy sauce couldn't save it. Btw, the soy sauce packets that came with our order was too salty. If I order here again, I'll stay away from the appys.

Three words... SPICY TUNA ROLLS! They are so soft, flavourful and heaven for your tongue. Even when your stomach is completely filled to the brim you still consider ordering another, they're just that amazing! This is me right now :-) :-) :-) you need some of this spicy tuna in your life. My husband had the Viking roll pictured below almost couldn't get a picture in time because he was chowing down. Beware though the Viking roll requires a lot of stomach room it's a big boy!

We come to Sushi On often and love it here. Sushi is always fresh, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and service always friendly. We typically order the same dishes and every time everything is great! We’ve also ordered take-out multiple times and have been happy with their take-out as well. When ordering take-out we’ve ordered directly from their website which is easy to use.On our last visit we also got a pair of complimentary Sushi On low cut socks :)

Love this place. We are Vegan and they have lots of vegi options. Great Vegi rolls like the Buddha roll. Most sushi places don't have very many Vegi options They have a whole section. Everything was tasty. We have ordered from there several times now. We had the Vegi tray, Agadashi tofu, Gome, Yakasoba and more
