The Grelhados Restaurant

I would have given this place a negative 5 stats if I could! My recommendation is to go somewhere else! We came for lunch on the recommendation of a friend and we were warned that there are no customers in the place at anytime but food was good. So we decided to give it a try. We ordered 2 coffees with cream and sugar. Each cup was half full, barely luke warm and looked like very strong stale coffee. Coffee tasted marginally ok. We asked for a refill and was told there’s no refill and if we wanted another cup, we need to order 2 more which we did - same half cup full of lune warm string stake coffee. Ok we sucked it up ‘cos we needed the caffine. When the bill came and I was asked to check it to make sure everything is correct. I was shocked to see that for 4 cups of half full luke warm coffee with cream was a whopping $23.50 before tax! I questioned the cost and was told by the server that when we ask for cream or milk with the coffee, it’s considered a LATTEE!! We’ve had hundreds of cups of lattees before and what we got here was no lattee! I have never seen any restaurant even 5 stars restaurants pricing a coffee with cream and sugar as a lattee.
This is highway robbery! For lunch we ordered the 1/2 chicken combo to share. Portion was adequate HOWEVER, everything came barely warm again. The 1/2 chicken was tasteless, beyond overcooked and dry, the pulled chicken was also very dry with some slapped on sweet sauce. I wonder how long these items have been sitting around due to lack of customers! The yam fries were limp and even the garlic bread was cold! Only thing that was good was the coleslaw…. To top off this unpleasant lunch, there were 2 patrons sitting at the bar who probably had too much to drink and they got louder and louder. This is too bad because the decor is nice and this place could have been so much more. Not sure how they manage to keep the lights on let alone stay in business too much longer. Might just as well cut your losses and close down the place now rather than die a slow death!

Now, I like to be very considerate and understanding as someone who works in the industry, I get how things can go. That said, I still recommend this place because the food truly made up for it.

There were 11 of us celebrating my dad’s birthday, had a reso. We were told the food might take a while, and it ended up being about an hour which was totally fine, as we’re a patient group. However, I personally believe that kids should be served first, and unfortunately, the two children at our table were served last. One of them had a simple pasta dish, and although she was very patient, it’s tough for a nine-year-old to watch everyone else eat for 10–15 minutes before getting her meal.

The servers may have been new, as they didn’t seem very confident. My only suggestion would be to try and read your tables a little more closely. I asked for a side of mayo, and while the server said “no problem,” she seemed to get distracted fiddling with the POS system and forgot. It’s understandable these things happen but I kept trying to get someone’s attention and noticed that both the staff’s eyes were everywhere but on our table. They had a look of worry on them, but in my experience you keep a positive face and attitude your tables won’t feel stressed either.

A simple check-in after food is dropped “Is there anything else I can get you?” goes a long way.

That said, the service was kind, and the food was outstanding.

My family and I tried again. As a server I’d like to teach what management is and what can make things better😩 Hands should never be empty. We had stacks and stacks of plates I asked if on her way back she can take them she couldn’t. We made a reservation for our group they don’t prepare for these things. The poor girl was running around with no support. There should be a kitchen person/food runner. We do enjoy the food. But every time the service is iffy. Nobody seems to do things one way or be on the same page. I appreciated that this visit the kids got their food first. My aunts margarita tasted like straight lemon juice.

Had the chicken wrap, very good. Fries were cooked excellently too. Server was very friendly and polite, made for a very nice birthday lunch. Would definitely recommend.

Came here on a Thursday night around 7:30 - the place was empty. It actually looked closed from the outside and we almost went somewhere else but then realized it was open. Our server was pleasant, food was great, and prices were reasonable.

It's really nice inside and we enjoyed ourselves and had a great meal. If they light up their sign on the building this place might actually look open and get more customers.

My wife and I went to Grelhados for lunch 4 days ago. It was our first time dining at the restaurant. We choose it based on all the great food reviews. We thought the food and service were excellent! The venue is very stylishly decorated. Giulia our server, was very professional and friendly. We highly recommend Grelhados and will definitely go back to try other items on their Portuguese fusion menu.

My family and I chose to try this restaurant for the first time because it had something on the menu that we were each interested in, and we were not disappointed.

The space is nice and open, brightly lit and inviting. The staff was great, especially our server Sukhmun. Very friendly and helpful from the first greeting.

The food was delicious. The BBQ chicken sandwich had a good flavour. The double chicken plate was a good side and both the seasoned fries and garlic mash were tasty.

Would definitely recommend trying it out if you're looking for good food in a wonderful environment.

We found this place with the school coupon book and had a great date night! Like others mention, it was quiet in the restaurant but being a Tuesday that's somewhat expected. They have a great happy hour and the food and drinks were fantastic! Highly recommend the grilled veggies and mashed potatoes for sides, they might even be better than the kegs!

Our night out at The Grelhados Restaurant couldn’t have been better. We were celebrating an engagement, and the team went out of their way to make it memorable. From the outstanding food to the genuine service, everything was spot on. Such a great place to relax, laugh, and enjoy good company over amazing food.

Surprisingly few people inside, the booths were comfortable, our food was delicious, and the server was lovely!

This used to be my favourite restaurant, but recently they changed owners and the food has taken a hit because they are cutting costs with ingredients.

First of all, I like the ambience. It's big, clean, and nice! It was kinda weird that their food was good but there's literally nobody dining in! Love the pasta, highly recommend to get that!
