Great food and staff

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received during a recent visit to Jimoco Café & Pasta. Prior to the arrival of my guests, I explicitly informed the server responsible for our table that under no circumstances were my guests to be allowed to pay for the dinner. Unfortunately, this clear and direct request was disregarded.

It is incredibly frustrating and disheartening to witness a lack of attention to a customer's instructions, especially when those instructions were intended to create a thoughtful and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Instead, it felt as though the only priority was securing payment—as if circling like vultures, eager to take the money regardless of the context or the guest experience.

This type of service is, frankly, transactional and lacking in hospitality. Dining out should be about more than just collecting the bill—it should reflect respect, professionalism, and a genuine effort to honor the occasion and the customers.

Regrettably, based on this experience, I would not recommend Jimoco Café & Pasta to those seeking considerate and guest-focused service.

The spicy dish wasn’t spicy at all. It seems like the chef might have forgotten to add the ingredients that bring the heat.
It's usually perfect, but this time was a bit disappointing.
Still, it's just a 1-in-10 kind of thing, so it's not a big deal.

We came here on a Monday night to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived there were 8 tables seated including us, with 2 servers working.

Unfortunately the service was really bad, like really, really bad. We waited probably close to 30 minutes after being seated before even placing an order. It felt strange because it was a Monday night and the place didn't seem particularly busy. The server apologized for the wait, but things just got worse from there, as we then waited over 45 minutes for our food to actually come out.

To be fair the pasta itself was decent, although we were surprised that there was no offer of fresh pepper or parmasean. Pepper was no where to be found at the table either. What kind of pasta place doesn't provide pepper?

Our server didn't check in even once to ask how the food was. The only interaction we had with them was when they dropped the food off. We ended up having to eventually flag them down to ask for the bill after we had finished.

Needless to say we were both pretty shocked at how bad the service was, and likely won't be back.

Great pasta! Great service! Great dining experience!

It is a tiny quaint little cafe/pasta restaurant. Food was quite delicious.

Chicken Parmigiana was delicious!

This place is a hidden gem! Wish I had discovered it sooner. The pasta is fresh and incredibly delicious. None of their dishes need salt, there is so much flavour. My recommendation for first timers is either the lasagna or the Carbonara!! PHENOMENAL. Jimoco deserves 5 stars across the board! Also, the staff are super friendly, great atmosphere.

I think this is a great food place, I genuinely love the meals I get here but all the times I’ve been it had been fairly busy and the service isn’t the best. Best foods here are spaghetti and meatballs, spaghetti carbonara, and THE GARLIC BREAD… so good. But since it’s such a small restaurant there’s usually lots of people and the service kinda sucks. 4 stars only for the food.

Such a gem of a place! The atmosphere is cozy and thoughtfully designed, and everything on the menu is made with care. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I especially loved the linguine mala and carbonara highly recommend it!
