I love this place! They have amazing homemade pierogies and a ton of great European items and some fantastic deli meats too. ....oh, I can't forget the desserts! Everything I have gotten there has been fantastic! ...the pierogies are worth mentioning twice....they are as close to my own homemade that I have found in a

Delicious like wow, but the service is lacking. I put in an order, and they forgot to write it down, and when it cam e to the day to pick up, they said they didn't have what I had ordered and were quite rude about it.

I also didn’t feel welcomed in this place. The lady that owns the establishment is difficult to talk to and comes across aloof. Never returned any of my calls in the past when I asked her.
No, thank you. There are nicer delis to deal with.

Maria's European Deli & Perogies are the best in this Greater Vancouver Area. Everything is natural like our grandmothers use to do ... The big food industry are preparing everything with additives and chemicals for bigger profits but not for maintaining healthy consumers.

Today I went to this store in Port Coquitlam, a Polish Deli/Store. They have a large variety of Polish Items and other German and European items such as: Coffee, baking powder packets, Vanilla Sugar packets, Rum, Lemon & other baking bottle flavouring, a large variety of seasoning packets for cooking, fresh sausage, deli meats, cheeses, sweets/candy, assortment of Rye breads, buns and some sweet desserts among other items.
I was surprised by the large assortment/variety they had. The women who served me was so pleasant; I told her I’m from Abbotsford but saw their Facebook page at Christmas time when they had Mohnkuchen (poppyseed roll) posted to purchase; and knew I had to check it out when I got out that way as that isn’t available everywhere. I told her Facebook advertising works, lol. She gave me a Sweet Cherry Danish to say thank you for coming in and for my drive home. When I get out that way I will definitely go visit their business again.
I bought: baking flavouring, some sausage, rye bread, buns and some Mohnkuchen that tastes amazing…it was a large roll and she cut it half for me as I was hesitant on the full roll. I wish I would have taken some pictures to share.
I have cross posted this review on another Facebook group: Best of Europe in BC

Been there 3-4 times but never felt welcomed. I’m not a picky customer and always have patience when stores are busy, but the ladies working here kept the Eastern European ‘customer service’. Some good finds in the store but I prefer to spend my money elsewhere. I only go to this store if I happen to be in the area
