I visited Northpaw Brew Co. and sampled a flight. My favourite selection was "Business as Usual," a rich IPA with intense fruity flavours and a smooth mouthfeel. "The Little Red Corvet" was rich and robust, offering a sweet, caramelized taste. It's precisely what you'd hope for in a red ale, and it certainly didn't disappoint. "Ring the Alarm," their Mexican lager, was a refreshing surprise. It had a crisp and clean taste with low bitterness, making it easy to drink. This lager was everything you'd expect from the style but with an added layer of flavour that made it a standout choice. Lastly, "The Midnight Love," a stout, rounded out the flight. While stouts are not typically my go-to choose, I had heard great things about this one. However, it may not be my personal favourite. Whether you're an IPA lover, a red ale aficionado, a lager enthusiast, or a stout connoisseur, they have something to offer for everyone.

North paw pumpkin ale reviewThis pumpkin ale pours a dark brown color, which makes you feel like you're drinking fall.Upon first sniff, you'll get a hint of spice and a traditional pumpkin flavor. I find the pumpkin flavor to be a bit weak, which is understandable since it's hard to get a strong pumpkin flavor in the first sip, so it may be a hit or miss for those looking for a strong pumpkin flavor. The spice comes through in the flavor, but it's not overpowering, creating a harmonious balance with the malt and hop profile of the beer. The pumpkin flavor is subtle and accents and adds nuance to the flavor profile rather than dominating it.The body of this ale is medium, providing enough substance to carry the flavors without being too heavy or too light. It works well with the overall flavor, making it a satisfying and easy-drinking beer.If there is room for improvement, it's the head retention. The foam dissipates relatively quickly, which can affect the initial aroma experience. There could be a number of reasons for this. My guess is that the amount of carbonation is a bit low.Overall, this pumpkin ale captures the essence of fall in one glass. It may lack in some areas, such as head retention and a weak pumpkin flavor, but the flavor balance and body make up for it. If you like a more natural and subtle pumpkin flavor, this ale is for you.Cheers!

Good to see the brewery scene expanding thru the Tri Cities. This isn’t as mature as some of the ones in Port Moody with large properties and parking. It is in an Industrial park and they have taken over a parking spot for outside drinking. But the atmosphere is good and the drinks were also amazing.

Nice place, chill vibe, great patio. Ordered two beers and they were both warm and flat, changed for two different ones and different taps and mine was flat again. Could have been the way they were being poured or a problem with the taps but didn’t want to go back in a third time to change it up so just left it on the table.

After being here several times, I can confidently say that the entire experience is consistently pleasant and laid back. The vibe here is very friendly. Combined with the other locations close by, it makes for a great group of stops along my bike route.

Love their beer. Great people and cool setting. The Blueberries and C.R.E.A.M is awesome. Firehall mexican Lager is pretty outstanding too. Although the patio is in the parking lot, they have made it nice by adding red Deck chairs

North Paw is a good place to go have a beer or drink. I like the fact they have TVs so if the hockey game is on you can watch. The place is not crazy loud. The beers are good. I like the Business as Usual. The Jamaican rum punch is by far my favourite. It is right mix of everything and is very delicious.

Beer is alright. Don't order olives and pickles cause it's probably from superstore self serve section. And the presentation was ...unique ? Dissapointing....

Stopped by for a Flight and a Pint with the girlfriend. Excellent beer and comfortable seating. Had a sandwich, while she had a Jamaican Patty. Both were quite good, would continue coming back ?

I will start off and say if you are looking for a quiet place to sit and sip and beer, this is a good place. The girl serving was friendly. I can’t speak for the beer since I can’t have gluten (I used to love beer). Most breweries have GF drinks which is really nice - I had the wine. I know I know, why go to a brewery if you can’t drink beer? I go because my friends drink beer and I like brewery vibes. I appreciate it when breweries think of us sad gluten-less people as well. What I didn’t like - we ordered a $15 charcuterie board that had clearly been made the night before and kept in the fridge. The nuts had also been refrigerated and were soggy. Pretty disappointing. They were also out of sandwiches (my boyfriend was hoping to order). Maybe it was the night, but between the sad expensive snacks and the dead atmosphere, I was left wanting to find somewhere else. But maybe it’s just the time of year that gives it that feel.
