One of my favourite breweries! Staff is incredible :)
I like Patina, but the patio rats are out of control.
Good brews, good food, and good times
Good food, good beer, friendly staff and horribly slow service. My husband and I have been coming here for almost 4 years and it has been consistently the same SLOW service every single time. It does not seem to matter the day of week, time of day or even how busy/ slow it is. The service is consistent slow every single time. It shouldn’t take 10 minutes for a server to greet our table and take our order and it shouldn’t take another 15 minutes to pour a beer and bring it to our table . Today we waited more than 20 minutes from the time we were seated to the time we had beer in hand. Then when it was time to pay it took forever to get our servers attention, and when we asked to use points to pay for our flights she said she would be right back with the machine. A few minutes went by and then we see her refilling the ice and eventually went up to the bar to ask to pay. She was cleaning drip trays. If this was a unique situation we would have no issue as people do forget sometimes and it’s. It a big deal, but this type sort of service is consistent with our visits over the 4 years we have been dining at Patina. It would be great if management could take this feedback and train their staff for more prompt service as its the one thing going against them. Thank you for taking this into consideration.
We wanted to like this place. We chose it because it was described as kid friendly and stopped in before the Port Coquitlam farmers market. As vegetarians, we had checked the menu in advance and came for the pulled jackfruit, but were told it’s no longer available even though it’s still listed (might be worth removing to avoid disappointment).
We decided to just enjoy some small bites here and have an earlier dinner elsewhere. We ordered the mac n' cheese, which is only available as a side portion but was decent and topped with their signature spice for a subtle lift, along with the spinach and queso dip with house made tortillas. The tortillas were crisp and the dips were fine. The craft beer and carbonated lemonade were refreshing and a highlight.
The staff felt inattentive and disinterested, though they seemed a touch friendlier by the time we asked for the bill.
The space has an inviting industrial feel, with plenty of tables inside and picnic seating on the patio. Overall, the setting has potential and could be a great spot with a few improvements.
I've been numerous times but the last time was underwhelming. Service was friendly but the staff didn't communicate during a shift change and we were forgotten. The food used to be great. I mean actually great. This time unfortunately everything tasted super smoky. The special fries with pulled pork were just a mushy mess and the wings were dry and flavorless. I will give them another shot but if something has changed in the kitchen like quality or staffing they should take a close look. Like I said I'll try it again but hopefully something improves.
Love this place. My wife and I hit up the happy hour on Wednesday on the regular. Great poutine! Definitely try them out. Great staff.
Great brewery with a chill atmosphere!
Plenty of parking, clean space, and a choice between indoor seating or a nice outdoor patio. The beer selection was solid, with options ranging from light lagers to IPAs. We ordered the popcorn, chicken wings, and poutine everything was tasty, especially the wings but I do wish there were a few more food options on the menu. Staff was friendly and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but I’d definitely drop in again if I’m in the area.
Unfortunately, our visit to this brewery the past few times have been disappointing on multiple levels. First, the service was slow and inattentive, the staff seemed disinterested and overwhelmed, despite it not being particularly busy.
During my last visit, we were informed we would have 18% gratuity on our bill. The staff claimed that this was always the case, which would be acceptable if it were true. However, I’ve visited multiple times recently with groups of 8 to 18 people and have never had this added to our bill (or at least not been informed about it). The last time we visited, I tipped the waitress just below average because of her poor service. When our group arrived, we were greeted with the news that our group of 8 would automatically be charged the 18% gratuity due to our group size. I suspect this was because the waitress had made a comment about “bad tipping.”
What really sealed the deal though, was spotting multiple rats near the patio area, not something you ever want to see while trying to enjoy food or drinks. It’s a huge health concern and definitely made us question the cleanliness and upkeep of the entire place.
The beer itself was decent, but nothing special, definitely not enough to make up for the lack of hospitality and the pest issue. I hope management takes this seriously and makes some major changes. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend stopping by.
Great taste

A neighborhood treasure - great food, great beer, great service.
Very nice staff. Good food. Food is never hot enough. Slow service and if I go by myself I am usually ignored. Need to give more time and in-house notice about changes in schedule and procedures as I don’t think of checking FB before I go.
I like the location and they have a few good beers. Food was okay; but ultimately the service isn’t great. I went on a Tuesday evening, it was dead, but there were several servers on that walked by me constantly because of where I was sitting. Though every one was kind, I was sitting with empty drinks for at least 10 - 15 minutes before someone came by and finally said something. However, what they said was just going straight to asking me if I wanted my bill… I could have easily ordered more had someone either come to me sooner or simply asked if I wanted something further rather than brushing me off.
Great bar
Food is very average nothing special. Brisket came almost cold. Good beer and service
