Swiss Chalet

2105 Hawkins Street, Port Coquitlam, BCI loved Swiss Chalet in Quebec in Ontario but oh my goodness how many ways can I say Horrible! I made the mistake of ordering a Family meal whole chicken with a half rack of ribs. The family meal should include 1 coleslaw for each person well this one had only 1 individual half filled tiny coleslaw. The bread was stale and barely edible. The half rack of ribs was the size of a quarter rack anywhere else they were short ribs, only half had sauce! I ordered a bowl of Chicken noodle soup as one of my sides and paid the surcharge my other option was to have a cup. Maybe they need to be schooled on what a cup is. I received a less than a full small quarter of a cup of soup why did I pay for a bowl? I paid the extra for a bowl because based on my experiences in other provinces they give you an actual bowl. I asked for utensils I received one for a family meal I don’t know about them but we don’t share our utensils each taking a turn. The chicken was pinkish so my husband took one look and wouldn’t take a bite. I will be cooking it myself and making the soup I almost had. All in all I could cry right now, this was to be a treat! Am heartbroken at having wasted a lot of money. Reading reviews after the fact, apparently they will be closing this location, NO FREAKING KIDDING!

Swiss Chalet was our go to when we wanted comfort food. We are so said this location is closing on November 4th. A couple of the servers that worked there were just AMAZING. Good luck to all the staff.

Went there for lunch yesterday ordered a two-leg meal supposed to come with a drink ask the cashier she says it doesn't come with a drink it only shows it in the picture but above that picture it says drink does come with it. So I asked her to come outside and read the sign she read the sign and still said no drink comes with it asked to talk to the manager not sure if it was manager but with the girl says no it didn't come with a drink but yet three other customers in the store can vouch for my story it says it comes with the drink it's false advertising as far as I'm concerned if clearly says so.... Tried to post a photo of their menu on here was unable to all I wanted was some water not even a pop... What a complete letdown will never go back there again over water wow

Food is good. Service is lacking. First visit several items they were 'out of stock'. Second visit yesterday afternoon I picked up my order at the restaurant. Got home and found it was incorrect. Ordered a baked potato and received the sour cream and other toppings but no baked potato. They gave us fries instead. No mention of a substitute. Maybe they were out of baked potatoes this time but they just arbitrary sub what they think you'll like? Very strange service.

Great chicken. Never disappointed. Dipping sauce over fries. Yummy.

Chicken always great side dishes are small had their fresh salad lettuce wilted did not eat this was the second time we've had bad salads

Friendly service and great food at a reasonable price, along with a take out option if desired. I'll be back!

Love the double leg meal, this is our family favorite. We have going to Swiss Chalet for years and love it everytime.

Although the Covid situation currently limits the menu. They are diffenitly taking a safe approach for all customers. The staff are always friendly and the food is always good.

We came here for lunch and for 20 minutes no server came to greet us, acknowledged we were there and did not take our order. I gave it the benefit of the doubt initially but I felt at some point the server does not even realize we were there at all and I would have actually had to get up and inform them. I was not getting an overall good vibe from this place so we got up and left and went to Five Guys Burger instead. The host at the front didn't even care why we were leaving. I would not recommend.

For decades my parents have loved Swiss Chalet. When my father passed in 2016 my mother stopped going. This past Friday she wanted take away. My mother was so happy to have her chicken meal with the rib sauce and baked potato, no sour cream. We both had the same meal and ordered a Poutine for another family member. The poutine was amazing.Meal was ready quickly, almost before I could drive there :). CS was awesome, food was great, mom was happy.

I ordered online to pick up 40 mins later. Got there early, let them know I was waiting. Pickup time comes and goes, 10 mins later I call the restaurant to be told it'll be another 5 mins. 5 minutes comes and goes. Go in to ask, abruptly get pointed in direction of take out counter. There are already 4 people in the waiting area (covid precautions say they're only allowing 3 at a time) and 2 lined up outside. I go back to the car and call again. The manager is unapologetic and tells me it will be right out. 20 minutes later I was finally on my way. Why do you allow customers to select a pickup time when it's just going to be whenever works for you?

Always a good meal, never had a bad one -in many years of going. Reasonable prices, quick and good service.

Cant go wrong here folks. Great food, always fresh and always tasty. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. What are you waiting for? Go out and get some now!

I love the roast beef dinner. Very good price too.
