Take Five Café

This is the Take 5 Coffee Shop next to Port Coquitlam City Hall.

I do not know your staff name, but she’s Asian looking, maybe is a Korea girl.

I ask her nicely and she wanted to kick me out also, because I wasn’t ordering anything and I am not allow to sit in one of the tables to do my homework.

Before coming to Take Five, I have got kick out from Waves Coffee. I had a Waves Coffee Tea cup and saying I am bringing outside drinks in to the coffee shop.

I got kick out at waves coffee because I was sitting in a six people seated table. Now I’m at Take 5 coffee shop, I am also getting kick out cause what I said before,

I ask nicely for wifi password. And your staff is so rude to me too. Really I just want to have a sitted spot to do homework is that hard. Without asking or caring your staff can just kicks people out of the coffee shop like that! she also said you are not allow to sit long here !!!

It means I need to pack up and leave again. I was going to order hot water to fill my tea, but now with your staffs service, I feel so disappointed in your coffee shop. With No service and no manners and with no respect at all.

I ordered a pumpkin spice latte and could not taste any flavour. The barista said their standard for a large is 2 pumps, Starbucks is 5 pumps. She didn’t offer to add more she just said ya we get that a lot and with vanilla lattes too. Ummm…would probably be wise to make your $7 drink actually taste like something more than coffee if that’s what you pay for.

We were recommended by another shop owner to try this place. It was not great coffee. They messed up our order twice and had to be remade, twice. When we did get our order, the shots were burned and it wasn't great. I tried to use a buy one get one free coupon and they wouldn't allow us to use it.

I would recommend finding another shop in town.

Amazing location, highly recommend spending some time outside under the beautiful big trees; though the street is busy the plaza area is super calm. Great coffees, but limited food and pastry options.

I’d give this place six stars if I could! It was my first time in the area, and I stumbled in looking for coffee and a place to work. The owner was incredibly welcoming and recommended a sweet drink and a sandwich. Honestly, that combo was the perfect balance of sweet and bitter, and the sandwich was delicious. If you’re looking for a great coffee spot or a calm place to enjoy breakfast while getting some work done, this is definitely the spot! And Best customer service he is happy to work and clearly loves his job.
