Terrible! We just left from there and our server was not friendly from the beginning. Then they messed up my side for my order so they brought it back to the kitchen and it took quite a long time to come back. Then my gravy was cold (didn’t even bother to tell the server) When the bus girl grabbed my plate off the table she spilled au jus all over me. She apologized and handed me napkins. The next time the server passed us we asked for our bill and told her because I had to go home to wash my clothes so it doesn’t stain. All she said was ‘au jus doesn’t stain it will be ok’ well I guess I will find that out. But zero remorse and no offering to take care of even my tea. This has ruined my day off and now we are heading home to get cleaned up instead of doing everything we had planned. Definitely never going back.

I came to Gillnetters with my partner and a few pieces of the chicken wings were raw. Our waiter didn’t offer us water until we had to flag her down 20 minutes later. The chicken wings were burned and the skin was chewy instead of crispy, the chicken meat tasted like chewy rubber. Overall disappointing because the past 4 times I’ve come here the food was great but today felt quite disappointing and discouraging. Overall, service was subpar and food was just sad.

Had lunch today at the Gillnetter. Normally I don’t write reviews but I felt compelled to as the food was not good ( worst fish and chips ever. The batter was think and spongy) and the service was horrible (cleared my own table after waiting for the bus person to, and this after asking the server to who refused) ( also had to ask for cutlery after out food arrived) The owners also need to do a thorough cleaning. So much dust in the rafter seen to the naked eye. ☹️

Great views of the river. It would be nice if the chef put his hard work onto a warm bowl. Had the pasta special for lunch,really tasty, but only warm when it got to the table.
