If we could do a zero we would. We stopped on the side of the road to dump our leftovers as we were worried about what we just ate. We ordered almond chicken and it came out slathered with some mystery GRAVY! Not too sure why it had gravy. My husband said he feels like we just got fed from the garbage can and he will eat anything! We got deep fried prawns and they were so greasy, also some were prawns, some were tiny shrimp in a big greasy batter, some were chewy and didnt seem like they all came from the same batch. Service was very rude. We felt like we were not wanted there. Hurry up and get out. We were very friendly and polite. This was not reciprocated. We will never return and we are not that picky.

Been wanting to go try M&Y for years, finally did. Went with a bunch of friends. The guy was friendly, the prices were super reasonable, and I liked everything I tried. I love old decor so the vibe of the place was right up my alley. Looking forward to going back. This place won't be for everyone but I loved it. If you like greasy spoons, you will probably dig it too.

Honestly, this place sucks. The man is mean, and weird around kids. The food tastes like garbage. Its soggy, bland, and it feels like there are wet worms in your mouth. My family has gotten food poisining from here NUMEROUS times. I think twice before feeding this to my dogs tbh...

Guy at the till rolled his eyes at me when I kindly said table for 1. His snobby energy kills everyone’s mood and appetite when the food is already mid. He also gave me a small dirty cup of warm water.

We had 2 bites and ended up throwing everything out...what a waste of $50. We wanted the deep fried wontons & after being told on the phone there was no mushrooms or seafood in anything we ordered, we show up to pick up our order and he says he didn't make us the deep fried wontons as there's mushrooms in them....out of my 43 years on this planet I've never heard of mushrooms in wontons before (but maybe I'm mistaken). The chicken fried rice was shredded chicken (dark & white) on top of white rice. No vegetables, no seasoning. The chicken chow mein was ichiban noodles with again shredded chicken on top..no seasoning, no vegetables. The sweet & sour chicken balls were batter with barely any chicken. The only decent thing was the steamed rice. If I could give 0 stars, I would! The Chinese food at the IGA is way better!

My honey has been eating here for 20 years and I eat at M&Y’s at least once a month if not more for a year. I have toured the whole kitchen and love dining in and take out. Old school BC style small town Chinese Canadian food with sassy old guy service in a dimly lit space… retro vibes. We always get soup, fried rice, chow mein, egg foo young, sweet & sour, chicken cashew and tomato prawns. The fries & burger are awesome too my kid enjoys. The prices are good! I have food allergies and bad digestion my partner is a vegetarian and we have a bunch of kids and family- we enjoy our food here and proud of this longest running local family business in Port McNeill!! Thanks for the great service Y :) we had a little photo shoot of our take out feast

Vegetarian options: Lots! Spring rolls, soup, noodle and rice dishes and fries plus more

Parking: Always parking right out front

Only 1 star cause I can’t give it zero. Literally the worst food I’ve ever tried and thrown out in my life. What a waste of money. Got home. Tried it. Nasty. Even tried frying the noodles with VH and hot sauce to see if it could be edible and still threw it out ?

Terrible food but even worse service. The owner/host was so rude. How are they still in business?
