Just on a day trip out to Renfrew came in the pub for food. We rdered soup and a coffee for 21$ but I would have ordered a gluten free bun grilled cheese and fries but because I wasn't under 12 I wasn't allowed to order it, so one of us ate and other did not. I wasn't trying to order off a kids menu as I did not see it on the menu but saw there was gluten free bun option as I can't eat gluten.

Cozy pub in Port Renfrew! We came here amidst a road trip and loved the ambience. Very chill pub vibes with generous seating. The service was great and very friendly - accommodating to young kids too!The food was alright but I felt like it was a bit overpriced for what it was - understandable given the prime location and variety of menu items. The salad I ordered was quite unseasoned and minimal in proportion, and the burgers I tried were bland/dry. Nothing stood out to me, but they did have some good beers on tap to choose from. Not expecting “Crème de la Crop” at a pub, but I admit there’s room for improvement on the food front. Really did appreciate the wide menu of selections though!Definitely a spot worth coming to if you’re in the area looking for good hangs and a cozy atmosphere!Parking: Right outside! Free and plenty!Kid-friendliness: Kid’s menu and coloring pages. Children’s high chairs.

Our waitress was the highlight , fast to seat us and the most beautiful smile and manner about her ! Good beer and I liked my Chi Tea mixed drink . I had the roasted salad and would only give 2 stars, it was missing feta cheeze , walnuts and the beets did not seem roasted but were wet as if from a jar , no seeds, good sprouts and meager amount of quinoa , the chicken I had with it was Cajun and a too salty ( good when I scraped off Salt ). My husband had the rock fish and chips which was quite good despite the batter not being crisp. We remembered coming here a few years ago and it was fantastic , so will give them another go . The other person working (manager ?) listened and didn't charge for the salad even though I ate it ( hungry after a hike in the cool weather ) and that was appreciated ! It was Tuesday night so not packed and atmosphere was good. We are loving Port Renfrew and the wharfside cabin just up the pier from the pub .

Today was our second visit and will be our last. The seafood chowder (which tasted like it’s from a can) came out to us cold! We had to send it back… and I’m pretty sure they just microwaved it, as it came back with a thick film on top! Gross. We ordered tea…the water out of my tap comes out hotter than what I was served today. The young lady who served us was very apologetic but the kitchen staff need some training I think. This wasn’t worth the stop, there’s better places to spend your money on a meal. The beer was good.

We visited Renfrew right after eloping, still wearing the wedding dress and all! We visited the Pub twice and loved the casual vibe. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and seemed to include as many locals as visitors! Which really says a lot! The food was great, service was phenomenal! Our waitress was Cameron (sorry if we misspelled!) and she was a wonderful delight! Great at her job and made it all seem effortless as she went from table to table with her megawatt smile and beautiful personality and taking a moment to chat with each patron. The food was well prepared with good-sized portions.
