Powell river A&W is one of the best A&Ws Ive been to. Always fairly busy with good service & a well kept store. They have become the only fast food places I go in Powell River now.

What happened to the Beyond burgers for vegetarians?! It's been replaced by a terrible breaded mashed potato patty. It's rubbish. Tastes mainly of black pepper and mush.
Please bring back a decent veggie burger!
These days there are actual burgers - the beyond patty was delicious. It doesn't have to be a pile of reheated frozen veg.

So happy to have a reliable favourite open when all the other places around here are closed, including both restaurants in the hotel next door.
Food is consistently good. Place is clean, staff is friendly and helpful.
Ambiance is as you’d expect for a fast food place. A bit too bright for evening dining, but can’t really complain! Thanks for being here A&W!
PS the paper straws bring in equal parts air and root beer. A better choice of straw would help the beverage portion of the experience.

I used my mobile app to order but I didn't get the offer, and when I noticed, I couldn't modify or cancel it. I wrote to A&W and the local restaurant in Powell River reimbursed not only the mistake that basically I made but the whole order. Thankyou I love their burgers, fries and onion rings. I also like that I can mix my own drinks.
Perhaps the only fast food restaurant left ijn Powell River that does not abuse the LMIA/TFW program. Decent food and service.

An excellent A&W that employs local Canadians and also makes good food. Way better than the last A&W burger I had in Vancouver, which had 1 slice of soggy lettuce and a squashed bun. This place had several pieces of fresh crispy lettuce, tomatoes and onion also very fresh. Came back twice during a trip for mozza and teen burger. Frozen root beer was very good, lots of syrup flavor, no cheaping out, and smooth fine ice, not lumpy ice.
