I do live in Powell River and have tried the food there twice the first time was 2 years ago. Two years ago I ordered the chicken and sushi and liked the sushi but the chicken was bone in and was mostly bones. Last night I ordered the same thing to pick up after coming off the ferry and dont want to but have to say the chicken was original and there wasnt much meat to it mostly skin and the sushi rice was very pasty. I m not impressed and will not try again. Genki you have to make all the food better if you want the business.PS Im a lover of fried chicken and sushi and know my food.

Grabbed takeout on the way to the ferry. Friendly, helpful servers and food was ready quickly. The sushi was okay, but the rice was too soft…not authentic. BUT the chicken was delicious! Got the soy-garlic and sweet-spicy half and half container, full order and it was huge! Worth a try!

Service was good and they were efficient. We ordered sushi rolls, nigiri and some appys. Sushi rice was very starchy and far too saturated and mushy. I almost choked on my first bite as I never expected it to be that mushy. Almost like mochi. The nigiri had too much rice for the amount of fish. The fish quantity was good, the rice was just too much. And bland. The appetizers were ok, but we went there for sushi. Can't recommend.

Love love love the sushi here! Korean chicken was oversized for what was expected, great job guys!!!This place has become my favorite spot in Powell River. The food has been consistently high quality everytime and today they managed to make our order in what seemed like 5 minutes, a new record I think. Thanks for taking such good care of your customers ?

Absolutely amazing, chicken has a delicious crispy breading and absolutely perfectly cooked. Always amazing quality sushi and the BBQ Eel shown in the photo is always cooked to perfection. Amazing service and just generally one of the best sushi places I've been in years.

Incredible sushi! I had the TNT Roll as well as tuna and salmon sashimi. Mouth watering! I only wish I had had more room to try the fried chicken! Next time perhaps. The server was friendly and service was fast, but not so fast that we couldn't enjoy the views from the patio. Prices also seemed very reasonable to me!
