This is the finest bakery between Saltery Bay and Lund. The service is always cheerful. Darlene works hard to provide high quality products. The croissants are so delicious and remind me of the ones I had in France. Highly recommend this bakery.

We always go to this little bakery when we are in Powell River. The staff is friendly. The owner, Colleen is a whole vibe. The bread is amazing. The cookies to die for. Don’t miss it. Drop by Townsite Market to browse and eat.

This women-run bakery is a hidden gem! The quality of their baked goods is outstanding, and the service is always friendly and efficient. Everything is made with love and care. Support local and treat yourself to something special here!

I went in this afternoon (Tuesday) to purchase a loaf of bread. Not realizing it was closed. Not impressed with the response I got. Rude and dismissive.

Don’t expect service. I guess it’s fine to ignore customers and instead engage in long form conversation while waiting customers stand politely by…. (Say nothing or leave a review so maybe you guys at least know this is happening) *shrug

Liked the texture of cran-pecan loaf! Other baked goods were good as well.

Super grumpy owner! I'm not able bodied and there was a table and chairs she was sitting at on her break and i was needing a place to sit and she was very rude to me responding that itcwas for staff only. I was clear that I was walking with a cane and needed to sit before ordering because I was in a lot of pain. Anyway she's rude every single time I've gone there so I won't be going back!

Best sourdough bread in BC! Incredible croissants and bread. We are so lucky to have a world class bakery in our community!

The best sourdough I have ever had. We visited Powell River and happened upon the Hearth & Grain, and I bought several loaves of sourdough just based on looks and reviews. I wish I had purchased more! The muffins were excellent as well! You guys need to branch out to other locations....

While RV camping at Kent’s, generous visiting friends from PR brought some delicious deserts from Hearth&Grain. Unique and so incomparably better (much less sweet!) than most NorthAmerican commercially available pastry, 🥐 petit fours, that I am most interested to take several pieces back home with me, hoping for delivery to the resort on a larger quantity. I savored the lemon tart, / the nut, fig, date? Tart and the divine chocolate mouse with white chocolate and dried red berries. Furthermore, I am interested in the Orange Marmelade, the spinach feta pastry, the pork cheek bacon, the spicy beef pastry, the “Bierbeisser” (Pepperoni type?) thin long sausages, the cured ham with fat rim, ( prosciutto type), the chocolate rolls with white stripe and red berry decoration. Based on the samples I enjoyed, I highly recommend the bakery, ! still hoping to take some home to White Rock at the end of my camping stay.
