Cozy local eatery for all day breakfast (till 2:30). Popular, busy, so be patient. Good coffee and big portions - easy to share. Lovely staff.

What a lovely small town diner! Perfect breakfast for my family of four and a rainy Friday morning while we camped at Willingdon beach. Kids enjoyed their pancakes with whipped cream and strawberry compote. My husband and I each had a breakfast bowl. Mine was loaded with chorizo, beans, cheese, avocado, roasted tomato salsa, and hash browns. Felt super healthy, hearty and fresh. Service was super kind and prompt.

First time visit thought wow this place is great. Very reasonable daily specials. Shared the homemade meatloaf sandwich, the Wednesday special at the time. I'd never had a meatloaf sandwich, it was delightfully delicious, as were the real potato fries. The ambience is oldstyle 50's cafe with interesting decor. They host art for sale via Artist's Exhibitions. There is a sign up sheet for Artists for a three month exhibit. All 100% of proceeds from sales go to the Artist. There is a three year waiting list, I am signed up for September 2028. If you are visiting Powell River a jaunt to Cranberry for a meal at Magpie's Diner is a must. Although I didn't have, the eggs bennies served to another table looked fantastic!

We stopped in for lunch. The menu offered a wide variety of choices. I had the big mouth California sandwich, which tasted amazing! Food was great, service was excellent! I highly recommend if you drive through Powell River!
