2.5 stars - not terrible, but also not memorable. Some of the fish wasn't super-fresh tasting. The miso soup was very salty. Rolls also fell apart easily.

Very interesting place. Private tables. And... Very clean washrooms.
They have photos of their dishes on the walls (like famous people's gallery). I wish they would have the same pictures on their menu.

Was in PR for hockey tournament, went to Minato for dinner with my kid. We ordered teriyaki beef and chicken and two rolls to share.
Every tasted surprisingly for remote city good!
Recommend this place!

Need wait wait for your food a (year), and the picture is too different with the food you got, overpriced and some service is bad as hell. One star is the only rate I can give, but I want to rate it -1 star👎👎I will never come to here again

The best place in town to get sushi, always delicious! Great service and love the little private rooms everyone gets for themselves.

Not vegetarian friendly. Ordered the tofu teriyaki dinner course for $30. Told the server I was vegetarian and no fish. Miso soup tasted like it had animal stock. Salad arrived with shrimp on top. Main course was served on a hot metal cow.

Tofu was the silken kind used for agadeshi tofu. Two massive, and I mean huge like the size of one of those scientific calculators from the 90's big.
Try eating that with chop sticks! This was served on a bed of syrupy shredded carrot and cabbage.
The vegetable tempura (that was supposed to be part of the meal) didn't arrive, we barely saw our server and the service was very slow.

Moved here from the city and I’ve been to every sushi place in Powell River. Minato is without a doubt the best sushi place in town.

As I entered I was greeted by a very friendly server, and later found out it was her first day working here. Nice, private booths. Extensive menu.

I had a spicy tuna cone and tempura platter, both excellent. There was a little mutual confusion about my order, but it worked out just fine. The owner even offered to comp me a lunch though that was unnecessary. I will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.
