Perfect place for a road trip or bike trip ‘za, wings and good company. The staff are wonderful and the food truly hit the spot after a day of adventures on the coast.

First time trying Salt And Pepper Pizzeria and we will be back! Ordered French Fries and their Perfect Pesto Pizza. Arrived at the Saltery Bay terminal and after one slice of yummy pizza each we wish we had ordered a bigger pizza..
We will definitely be back. Fries were great too. Extremely friendly service.

We got there at 7:20 and were told it would be half an hour to make a pizza. There were very few customers in there already.

46 minutes later, after waiting for them to call us to come get it, we walk in and all the staff is standing there watching the playoff game. They said they hadn't even started the pizza, and it would be another half hour. So we left.

Horrible service, didn't even feel bad. I will not be returning.

Edit: in reply to the owner's response, that isn't true at all. We were told it would be half an hour, waited in our truck, and 45 or so minutes later after not being called back in we came in to see all staff watching the Oilers vs Panthers game. It was directly after the Oilers tied it to bring it to overtime, so everyone was excited and cheering. We were told that the fries were ready but the pizza hadn't even been started. I don't appreciate your rude response, and hope this edit is easier for you to read and understand.

If i had to describe this pizza place in one word, it would be authentic. Not in the way that the ingredients where specially imported from italy and of the highest caliber — but in the sense that the work and craft going on here is real.

while it may not have the most perfect decorations, or world class pizzas, it has an atmosphere that you cannot find any where else in the world all thanks to the owner. So if your looking to eat around powell river, give salt and pepper pizza a chance and support the man behind it.

Pizza lover in town for the weekend, and wanted to try something local. In hindsight, the mixed reviews for S&P pretty much nailed it.

We had a little diablo and a donair. Crust on both needs a rework. It needs just a touch of salt, and given the mid level thickness, needs a much hotter oven. I'm guessing they're cooking at 400 maybe, and they need to be at least 600 for the style. We actually had to put ours in the oven and broiler when we got them home, both bottom and tops were under cooked.

Toppings were generous and fresh. No complaints. And staff were very friendly. Also, many of the topping combos were interesting.

So, not terrible, but so little needs to be done to be so much better. Hope the owners can have a fresh look at the recipe and method. This place has potential, but isn't there yet.

I couldn't give less of a shit about your hearty Bowl, so don't even mention it. BTW I know damn well, Chad is lying. I really love the smell and the look of the inside of the shop. Why you can not make good pizza is a mystery

I really wanted to like this place and I have given it a few tries to be fair.I don't like writing "bad" reviews, But hopefully this will give a chance to maybe improve some.Unfortunately The pizza was not good, we could not eat it. The dough was way too thin, soggy and had no crust. Unfortunately tasted raw and looked like a store bought pita, even though they have said its made in store. Maybe can work on getting it to be more dough like instead of a pita? The ingredients might have been good, but we're not able to give it a fair try as the rest of pizza did not hold up.I have also tried the Donair. Pita was good, it was cooked through all the way. ( this seem like the same bread they use for the pizza ) although I was told it is the "Donair" sauce they tried their best to make it but it tasted like a really sweet sour cream. The beef had flavour but was WAY to spicy ( even for my husband who loves hot things) Ended up not being able to eat so again was thrown out.My daughter ordered pasta and wings. The wings were tiny but good. The pasta was cooked well, not much sauce but was fine.I would like to say I would return, but for now it's a no.
