Shingle Mill Pub & Bistro

Not sure if the food is any good. We didn’t wait around to find out. Waited (beside the “please wait to be seated” sign) for quite some time to be seated. Was greeted a couple of times by staff waking by us. Then was called to from across the bar to just grab a seat in the bar area. So we did. And sat. And sat. And sat. A couple sits beside us, get menus right away. And their order taken. We never got served or even spoken to again. So after waiting 15min past the time the other couple sat down we up and left. Very disappointing.

Worst meal and service I have ever had! Waitress was very rude when asked why meal was so slow one hour and a half. Pork chops were all bad was not told till one hour after ordering. Caesar salad only had greens no romain no croutons . Pasta had no bread when asked extra charge . My chicken sandwich was thin and over cooked bad salad in the burger gravy for fry’s all full of lumps. Very very disappointing on our New Year’s Day dinner not a good way to start the year!

fishy smelling shrimp not fresh. and dry meat on my 24$ burger. looking forward to my food poisoning thank you shingle mill. I told the lady on the phone that old shrimp can get people extremely sick or even kill people she said “okay” didn’t even apologize it almost sounded like she was laughing.

Comfort food in comfortable surroundings. Delicious favorite food options and a nice view overlooking the water. Spacious seating available and lots of tables with windows.

We had such a great time, the food was amazing (Shrimp Popcorn was my favorite!), and our server was lovely too. So glad we decided to stop by! 😊

The shrimp tacos are a return to this restaurant item. The sandwich/salad was excellent. Though some of the seating is showing a bit of wear (this the 4 rather than 5 stars for atmospheric), this should not detract from the delicious food and generous portions.
This is a pub, offering a great selection of draught beers and cider along with a wide range of adult beverages. There is a large, summertime patio area to soak up sunshine while dining.
Located on a lake, this restaurant is a great choice for a pleasant dining destination.

The main picture says it all!!! AMAZING!! Staff was so good, was soooo busy and a bit understaffed, but she gave us a heads up that the wait might be an hr or so for food. We were a group of 12 (baseball team) and she was incredible!! So worth the wait. 🙏

We came with a group of 16 people around 2 o’clock in the afternoon , it was gorgeous outside so we were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the gorgeous views. The service was excellent she warned us it would be a bit of a wait because of our lathe group , but once the food arrived it was well worth the wait . Everyone loved their dishes and the service was excellent ! Will definitely be back next year on our annual trip to Powell River .

Great food, nice staff, pleasant atmosphere. The only downside was - there were 5 of us sharing a table for 4. They don't have larger tables.

Lovely time outside on the balcony. Ordered the seafood linguine with help from the waitress! With Caeser salad and corn bread, this was a massive meal and I was hungry enough to eat it all. Some of the best pub food I've had.

We were a group of six cyclists for lunch. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great views of the marina and Powell Lake. Everyone commented on on much they enjoyed their experience there!
