I have eaten here often over the last 10 years and have never been disappointed with my food, until last night. I brought up the issue and it was dealt with promptly, without any pressure, or judgement. I will continue to come back here. In my opinion it’s not just about the wins but how you deal with the losses. TC’s pub went beyond what I was expecting, and rectified the issue I had. I wish more places took care of their customers this well. 10/10 would eat here again, and you should probably eat here too.

Was extremely disappointed and upset at the fact we have been there so many times without an ID just getting food and today we got ID and kicked out because we didn’t have an id we didn’t even get to order drinks. If u ask for a drink menu then id we just wanted food didn’t ask for a drink menu. Lost a good customer and a very generous tipper. Who also cleans after themselves

We had a huge two-piece order of fish and chips for $19.95 which was the deal of the day. Nice atmosphere, clean, exceptionally friendly staff.

Had a delicious meal of fish and chips last night. The serving was enormous! The fish perfectly cooked , coated with a light batter , golden brown . French fries and a small serving of coleslaw. Staff were friendly and attentive! We were able to talk as the restaurant, even full of patrons, was not excessively loud. Highly recommend this establishment for great food at a reasonable price.

Disappointing and Unfair Experience

We called the restaurant in advance to ask if they were open for dining and were told yes. But when we arrived, we were shocked to be denied a table — not because they were full or closing, but because two people in our group didn’t have ID.

Everyone in our group was over 25 — some over 30 — and most of us had valid ID. We made it very clear that we only came to eat, not to drink. Still, they said unless every single person showed ID, we couldn’t even sit and order food.

This is the first time we’ve seen a pub or restaurant enforce such a rule. There is no law in BC requiring restaurants or pubs to check ID just to let people eat, especially if no alcohol is being ordered. It felt more like an arbitrary or discriminatory decision rather than a legal requirement.

We’ve dined at many places before, but this experience was disappointing and unwelcoming. We hope management reconsiders how they treat customers who just want a meal — and are clearly of legal age.

Sat there for 10 minutes waiting for service. Finally just left. Hire more servers to work especially during busy days

Food was very good, but the beef dip was a little on the small side. Otherwise delicious.
