My wife and I called in for lunch today and were surprised to find the venue devoid of customers, but several tables had reserved signs upon them.
Our food was fresh and piping hot, and couldn't be faulted although I must admit to struggling to finish the large portions served to us.

Lady was super rude because there was 8 of us. Couldn't even say come back in 10 minutes. Worse place ever

Pretty meh

Fish and chips were decent. Batter was very plain and not as flavorful as other places in town. Fries were a bit soggy. I couldn’t differentiate the clam chowder from something out of a can.

If you want excellent fish n chips go to OV Burger or the restaurant in the crest hotel.

The locals like this spot and it is nostalgic but not the best food for the same price point as other spots.

I recently dined at this incredible seafood restaurant, and I was blown away by the experience! The service was prompt and attentive, with staff who genuinely seemed passionate about their craft. The food was the star of the show—perfectly cooked fish, delicate shrimp, and a crab dish to die for. Each plate was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a nautical theme that creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit for seafood lovers!

I dined here while on a cruise in September 2024. There are 3 people who work in this whole place. One lady takes orders, one kid cooks and the other cleans up. The place is too busy to get good service. The halibut and cod fish and chips and chowder are good. The Cesar is NOT. This is not the place for alcoholic beverages. One of our cruise peeps had a service dog. They were shoved into a back corner and were not given good service. It was clear the service dog was not welcome. After they were served their food they were forgotten about which was sad to see. They were great people just looking to try out a new place. Once my group was done dining we went to close out our check. If we hadn't been paying attention we would have been shorted $20. Luckily my husband was paying attention and spoke up. Be aware of places like this. As a tourist willing and ready to spend money I expected to have a better experience.

This place has been around forever. And then some. When you walk inside, it’s like a time capsule. I would bet the fish and chips have been made the same way since this place opened.. It’s not a tourist trap. The locals eat here. The food is good. Chances are you know the guy sitting on the side of the restaurant. If you have a chance to go try. It’s worth it.
Fish and chips the way it should be .
