Went for lunch. Smorg wasn't open. I ordered the lunch special. The plate was heaping! Delicious food. Fresh, hot and great flavor! The service was exceptional! Its a must stop in Quesnel!

Its passable chinese food. Like all good restaurants of this calibre, the interior hasn't changed since 1991.

Love the food and the service is fantastic butttt the owners seem to think that the server can answer the phone for take out plus serve tables plus serve takeout to customers plus deliver food plus clean tables plusssss it’s too much for one person. Even with all that the server was happy and very nice too bad the owners think that she can be everywhere all the time.

I am currently waiting in the parking lot as I just made a to go order so I have not even tried their food yet.

However, the service I received was actually the best I have experienced at a restaurant. They were excited I was there and more than willing to help make decisions on an order. Based on my experience the server I had at the front loves his job and if not I sure wouldn't be able to tell.

Maybe I will make a review for the food afterwards but the service alone warrants one at this point.

Best Chinese food in Quesnel, great lunch special which includes wonton soup & a drink.
Clean restaurant, clean restrooms, friendly staff what more can you ask for. 😃

This use to be the best Chinese food but not now, I recently picked up takeout and was extremely disappointed in the quality, food wasn’t edible and most of it went into the trash. Ordered two jumbo combination dinners for one, container contained 3/4 noodles with a few overcooked and mushy vegetables which were not stir fried, supposed to be chop suey, s & s pork was almost burnt and no sauce, prawns all batter, almond chicken so dry that even the dog didn’t want it.
Such a HUGE disappointment.
You have lost a customer.

My wife and two of our friends joined us at Dragon Gate. We decided to try the buffet, which was to say the least, not good at all. Spring Rolls, Chicken Wings, Wonton....all tasteless, no flavor. The waitress only came to the table once, so I don't have anything good to say about that. And 2 outta the four of us are now feeling pretty sick. I don't recommend paying good money for food that's not only tasteless, but how you feel after eating it. This is just my experience hope others have a better one. But I will not recommend or eat there again.

Egg rolls had little to no filling, and was doughy, got 4 chicken balls and the sweet and sour sauce was not good , the sweet and sour pork was chunks of fat again sauce was horrible and the chow main was dry

Tried the smorgasbord once again and I have to say that this,was the worst chinese food ever. The wontons in the soup wre completely flavorless, felt like were half flour, the noodles around the wontons wre slimy and just gross. Chow mein was dry and super bland. Most everything we ate was totally void of flavour. The dessert buffet was empty except for a couple of small puddings. The only things that were barely acceptable were the chicken wings and the salt prawns. So sad that they can't produce quality food.

Love the buffet! Friendly staff. Aesthetic desserts.
