Busy place, now I know why. Good food, fresh pastries. The staff move you through as fast as they can. Line up out the door when I was there.

Best Bakery in B.C. By far and it’s so nice to see these family businesses surviving in the global markets today.

Good selection of simple home style baked goods. The cinnamon twists were very light on the cinnamon.

Quesnel Bakery isn’t just some cutesy mom-and-pop operation riding on nostalgia. No. This place is the real deal.

I drive 700 bloody kilometres north and still make it a point to stop here every time. Why? Because Quesnel, thank your lucky stars, you’ve got a five-star bakery hidden in your midst — and not the kind that serves up dry scones and sad muffins. No, this one delivers.

Let’s talk about those warm pretzels. Jesus. Just the right slight of salt, soft on the inside, that beautiful chew on the crust. Not rubbery, not soggy — properly done. Like someone in the back actually gives a damn.

And the custard-filled Long John’s? Don’t get me started. Rich, silky custard — not that claggy, store-bought nonsense — and a pastry that actually holds its shape instead of collapsing like a bad soufflé. It's indulgent, it's nostalgic, and it's bloody fantastic.

And the staff? Absolute legends. They’ve got that small-town charm, but they’re sharp. Quick service, warm smiles, and they actually talk to you — not stare at you like you’ve just asked for foie gras in a gas station.

Quesnel, you’ve struck gold here. 💛

Excellent baked goods, always worth a stop.
The lemon cake was attacked before the camera could react, it was fantastic! Moist cake, light icing with distinct bit not overpowering lemon flavor throughout.
