Went to a special event tonight. Ordered appies and dinner. Appies arrived after an hour. Seriously- 5 tiny pieces of breaded zucchini for $9? Dinner took 3 hours. Fish and chips. 1 piece of cod. About 15 little French fries. A spoon of coleslaw. $22. I felt sorry for the overworked and overwhelmed server. 1 bartender and 1 server. Full house.
Just bad management.

Came to town to visit my son who’s working at a mining site just out of town and he recommended to come here. It did not disappoint. Had the fettuccine Alfredo which was absolutely delicious and bonus points for REAL red wine glasses to enjoy a nice glass of good Pinot Noir. Amanda the owner made the experience super personal stopping by our table and giving us the local history of the restaurant. Make sure you give them a try if you’re coming through town! Support LOCAL!!

The Occidental in Quesnel is the best place for dinner, hands down. The food is absolutely fantastic every time, and the vibe in the restaurant makes it a great spot whether you’re out with family or coworkers.
The service is always top-notch — Amanda has looked after us several times and she’s friendly, professional, and makes the experience even better.
We’ve been here a few times now — once with my family and several times with my company while in Quesnel — and it never disappoints. I don’t go anywhere else for dinner when I’m in town.

This business will not pay you. Management will make up stories and excuses. I was a subcontractor for this bar doing security. I gave 2 week notice that I was leaving. I invoiced them for my final pay and was not paid. Do not work with this company. Communication is terrible.
