We came here after a long day on the mountain. We waited an hour or so, but boy was it worth it. Great food, fair prices, and large portions. Will be dinner stop #1 on subsequent trips to Revy.

It was a very nice place. I do think that Sunomono could have been a little bit better the location is nice. You can sit on the patio and enjoy downtown Revelstoke.

My mother wanted to go try Kawakubo in Revelstoke because of all the positive feedback she heard about the Japanese restaurant. I was reluctant to go because of her last experience with Japanese food. However, we really enjoyed our lunch there.
We got a table inside, even though my mother wanted to sit outside, on account how cold the establishment was inside. I ordered the House Makimono, which I chose the Crispy Philadelphia and the Shrimp California rolls. They were both delicious, flourishing with fresh and flavourful ingredients. I think my mother had the Crispy California Roll and the Wonton Soup and she enjoyed both as well. I also liked how sophisticated our side salads were and that it came with deep-fried wonton strips.
The establishment was mildly lit while retaining its Japanese aesthetic with oriental portraits and the shoji walls all over. The service was good; however, I felt were waited little longer than necessary for service. Also, the prices for most things on the menu were somewhat pricy for my liking.
I would still check this restaurant out when you are in Revelstoke. This is a great Japanese restaurant that is worth trying.

We came up a bit late and there is no queuing, also the food served fast. The service is typical asian waitress, no issue about it since it is also efficient.
The food, i dont know but the rice donburi is taste like risotto, and the food mostly is fresh sour, using lots of lemon juice

A popular spot in Revelstoke with some nice patio outdoor seating in the nicer weather. For vegans, only rolls were available, but we tried plenty and all options were clearly labelled on the menu. The sushi was fresh, and there were some exciting options, like Japanese plum and mint in the ume shiso roll, which we particularly enjoyed for its unusual tang and sharpness. We tried the yama maki, cucumber, midori maki, yasai, sweet veggie, as well as a vegan veggie platter. They were all fresh and flavourful, and the whole sushi experience was served with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. The croquettes on the veggie platter were especially yummy and crispy, with a chilli sauce we used for the sushi later too. There is a limited menu for vegans, with some choices, but still a pleasant experience all round and super friendly service catering to our needs.
Best sushi around. By far. Comparable to high end sushi restaurants in Vancouver.
Unparalleled service from the staff.
All positive.
loved everything! our server was excellent, her name is cheiko (i hope i get it right)…. it’s our first time in revelstoke and the restaurant was the best ♥️ karaage was superb, tempura, crispy philadelphia and avocado roll was heavenly, for dessert don’t forget to try the black sesame ice cream and matcha, it’s a must 😄
Excellent !!
Really great service, it was fast and friendly! Food was very mediocre.
