Since 2001 Coast Hillcrest Hotel has been a highlight for guests visiting from around the world to enjoy its alpine chic, rustic luxury in the world class Kootenays. The Begbie Room & Guides Lounge is a restaurant located in the Coast Hillcrest Hotel, just outside Revelstoke. It offers breakfast and dinner, as well as room service for the hotel. The restaurant has an attached lounge with a bar, tables, couches, a billiard table, and a beautiful patio with stunning valley views. Guests have found the atmosphere to be nice and fancy, with good food. The baked brie starter and pork tenderloin dishes are standout options. The fish and chips and steak frites were also enjoyed, with the steak cooked perfectly and served with curry butter. The burger was very worthy, with real homemade fries cooked just right. Breakfast options like the Pacifica Benny were served to perfection, with fresh fruit. The staff are friendly, personal, attentive, and know how to serve it right. The wine list is small but well-rounded, and the beer selection includes options from Begbie Brewing company. The chocolate ganache cake was a perfect end to a meal.
