It’s a great place. Classic homestyle burger joint, you can tell the care that goes into making each dish - hard to find these days.My personal favourite is a tie between the chicken strips with the homemade tartar sauce and the tandoori chicken panini.
They were out of a lot of stuff. But the younger staff running the place were very lovely. We all ordered burgers (6 of us) and we all loved them. Great flavour, real meat. Just another short staffed restaurant doing their best with what they are given. I won’t discredit them for that. 5/5 would return. Hope they are able to get some stock in so we can try the fish n’ chips next time!
Meh…. Half decent. Not a lot of options in town unless you want over priced hipster garbage food or terrible sushi. This place is expensive for what you get. When we went they were sold out of a few things and the only drinks they had were IceTea or Lemonade… how do you run out of pop? They were sold out of fish and chicken too… lame. Burger was a hand made patty, so that was good. If you just got a beef burger I would give it 5 stars but the everything else lowered the score. The poutine was bad. Just bad. Fries weren’t hot enough to melt the freezing cold cheese curds and it looked like chicken gravy from KFC with almost no flavour. Very pathetic attempt at a poutine. My wife had coleslaw. She complained it was terrible but didn’t elaborate and didn’t really eat it. All in all… if you want a good beef burger go here and just get a regular order of fries I guess. Very slow too. We waited 30 mins for food, but they told us before ordering it would be about 25-30 min so at least they are upfront about the wait so that was nice even though it was still slow. They also seem to have a wasp problem. We were on the patio and I killed 3 wasps before even getting our food and once we had feed we were getting harassed almost non stop by the little monsters. You guys need to call pest control. If someone has an allergy and gets stung there guess who gets to deal with it. There must be a nest close by considering the amount of them and their persistency.
Horribly overpriced. Deaf guys at the ordering table - they somehow hear an extra burger in your order, but don’t hear that you want to exclude an ingredient. Sending food to a different table number. Burned to charcoal patties. Everything is small and dry. All grilled food is covered with pieces of charcoal. Do they even clean the grill, like ever? It was much better before and we used to stop here every time we were passing Revelstoke. Never ever again. We will go to A&W for twice lower prices and better quality. I wish I could ask for my tips back.
I was looking for non corporate food places to eat, something local for the family. Service was unenthusiastic at best, more than half the menu was shut down due to shortages. The food we did get was lackluster.Other than the fries, generally agreed by the table that the fries were the best. Not particularly clean either.
This was supposed to be a quick stop, but we waited 50min for chicken fingers and fries. If we had known about the wait time we definitely would have gone somewhere else. When the food came it was good, but nothing special.
Ordered 3 plain burgers an hour for it. terrible it is like the cook can’t figure out how to put more then one order at a time
3 people waiting 6 people eating 22 minutes later still no milkshake. Staffed by kindergarten students. Save the aggravation.
A little pricy, there are definitely some old menus floating around online, I’ll post a new pic. $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids to have burger combos. Hopefully it was a one time thing but the toilet was plugged and full to the top, and had definitely not been tended to in a while. Service was super slow, lots of unhappy faces while they wait. Food was average but portions were good, filled us up. Will try somewhere else next time.
Ordered the veggie burger, while my buddies ordered the beef. They found their burgers to be above average. My burger was a bit dry but probably due to being a veggie patty. The fries were good and you can tell that their fresh. Ice cream was excellent. The used the patio which was clean and beautiful outside. Washrooms were clean which was surprising because they're outdoors and normally you don't find outdoor bathrooms clean. The service was excellent and fairly quick, didn't need to wait long for the food.
Restaurantji Recommends
We stopped for lunch and wanted a local restaurant. We had the nomad burger with fries and a milkshake. It was busy but we didn't wait long and the food was delicious. You order at the counter and they will bring you your food. Nice patio seating for the summer, there is also indoor seating. Short 2 minutes detour of the highway. Well worth it.
This is a recommended place to pop in for a bite or an ice cream on the wonderful drive and we were looking forward to it. We ordered 3 milkshakes. The service was beyond slow and very disorganised. Sadly, we will not return. Shakes were flavourless...and the classic chocolate shake was NOT available!!!
These guys are the bomb. Such delicious food, super great casual atmosphere and only a block further in when you're passing through town than the chains on the highway. Highly recommend. The breaded chicken burger is delicious.
The food was AMAZING! And the service was fantastic. I was surprised by how quickly our food came out considering how busy they were. Definitely 5 star! And well worth the stop.
Good service, good food, price was great! Enjoyed our meal... hubby and I had fish and chips and daughter had a hamburger
