Nice concept, very busy. Walk in to very dark lobby(lights not an option?), waited about 5 minutes till the hostess acknowledged us. Saw the original server once, never came back to ask how the meal was etc. The server who took payment was super friendly, very nice. Charged for 2 iced teas that were basically ice with a couple mouthfulls of liquid(it costs pennies, give me a break 👎🏻). Fried chicken burger was brutal, 2 over done pieces in a bun. Definitely won't be returning.

Didn’t even get to eat as waited for 30m and they didn’t even take our name… seemed disorganized. At least tell people there is no space! Communication is not hard.

Pretty amazing use of an old school for an architecturally-pleasing restaurant space. The steak was overdone (asked for medium-rare and got well done) but it was still good. The ribs were good, juicy and flavourful.

In Revelstoke we are sure this is best place to eat. We got some really good dishes and drinks.
On top my Negroni was absolutely great.

The calamari is amazing!! I thought - ho hum, deep fried squid. But it’s not!! Tomato sauce and olives - truly wonderful. The service was great (Ayla), music awesome! Will be back.

I just got back from a great trip to Banff and I’m now in Revelstoke with my wife. Tonight we called Old School Eatery to make a reservation for dinner.

When we arrived, the restaurant was full, that’s okay. Wednesday. Dinner time. When we went there… My wife tried to speak to the host (a lady) three times and was ignored every time. At the same time, other people who were waiting outside were being seated.

When the host finally spoke to us, she said our table was already given to another couple, who didn’t have a reservation. No apology. Nothing.

So, what’s the point of making a reservation if the restaurant won’t respect it? I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this was not okay. We were treated with no respect and left very disappointed.

We ended up going to 112 Restaurant, where we had great food, live music, and friendly service. It saved our night.

We won’t go back to Old School Eatery. There are better places in Revelstoke. ;)

Honestly the worst meal I’ve had out, especially for the price. We ordered the newyork steak. it was realy terrible, so chewy and sad despite ordering medium-rare. Also potatoes were not cooked enough.

Busy place, on the noisy side but the Jamaican snapper was superb. Probably wise to have a reservation as the place seemed fully booked. I was smart to show up when they had just opened so they reluctantly gave me a table for one.
