This would be 5 stars all the way if they would answer the phone or remember to take you off hold once answered. The food is awesome. The spice is perfect. But guys come on. Get some phone skills

I had a very disappointing experience here. I asked from one staff members if the meat was halal, and he assured me that it was halal in all their branches. However, when my order was ready, another staff suddenly told me that they were not sure if it was halal. They said I could either take the meal as is or order a new one. After a lot of frustration and complaints, they finally agreed to give me a cheaper halal chicken dish instead. The way they handled this situation was very unprofessional, and it made the whole experience unpleasant. I will not be coming back

My family and I just dined in at Barcelos and we were so happy with our experience! The food was fantastic and the service was just as good. The staff were so kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!

The owners treat the restaurant like it's their personal home. They leave their belongings scattered around as if it's their private living space. They also hang out watching TV, charge their phones, and lounge around on one side of the restaurant. Often, they'll block off that side just so they can use it as their own personal hangout space. It’s very unprofessional.

The music situation is either silence, Punjabi music, or the same sad song playlist on repeat—which gets really cringeworthy. Thankfully, the owner has taken down the signs trying to sell their East Indian dishes. If we wanted East Indian food, we’d go to a restaurant that specializes in it.

The bathrooms are always disgusting.

You’re probably wondering why we keep coming back. The truth is, we love their chicken—when it’s fresh. Sometimes, though, it's clearly just reheated from earlier in the day or even the day before. But when the food is fresh and there’s genuine effort put into the quality and service, it can be quite good.

Terrible service. My husband and I went for dinner last week and for a solid 20-30 minutes the older guy worker cooking the food and a lady dressed up quite nicely ( assuming his wife ) yelled and fought with each other very loudly behind the counter while we were ordering and for the duration of us sitting at the booth eating. Sometimes from across the whole restaurant. It was extremely unpleasant and awkward. We have loved Barcelos up until a few weeks ago I think it’s under new ownership and the food has also changed drastically!

!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !!!
Please visit if anyone wants to hear owner’s family arguments with each other and shouting. You will also get a chance to hear abusive words from owner to his family. There is no music only thing you can hear is owner‘s daughter singing songs loudly and discussing their family issues. Food is OK but chicken was not properly cooked as per other Barcelo locations.
Very unprofessional owner and the customer service . Will not recommend if someone is going there with family.

Went here with family because we love Barcelos but unfortunately employees are not good. I order food but cashier said no chicken at the moment. The punjabi girl (i think she’s the dishwasher) is too loud on her phone sitting beside the cashier.

Food took way too long to arrive and waited over 30 minutes. I just wanted my chicken!

Another customer who ordered ahead of my was also frustrated as I received my food before them. Also my Peri Chicken Bowl was missing corn, upon requesting this they then mentioned they found more corn.

Please work on improving efficiency here and customer service.

I eat at this location at least once a month. Must be under new management. Chicken portions are much smaller now. Different overall flavour, Baked potato 1/2 size as usual. No paper towels in the bathroom.

New owners, pls read the reviews from your customers and consider responding and making small improvements to keep us coming back.
