Nice place and good service. I had the New York Steak. I received a thin piece of overcooked meat that was so fatty it was difficult to cut. The steak was very disappointing. The rest of the meal and service were good too

This saddens me to write. This is my favourite restaurant in the Kootenays. My last two visits here have been a disappointment. My last visit our server sucked. We chalked i up to a new server. Fast forward to tonightThe service is absolutely horrible. After waiting 20 minutes for a drink order i had to walk to the waitress to get a drink ordered… 15 minutes later it showed up. Trying to get a second drink at this point I’m absolutely done with trying… the food is amazing as always but this service needs to change. Not sure if the owner is trying to save money by running short staff but Jesus this isn’t workint

I ate in the bar the first time on my ski trip. The lasagna was delicious and the service was excellent. I took a group of 17 the second time on the same trip and we ate in the dining room. We had wonderful food and superb service. I had the Chicken Scaloppine and it was excellent. No one in our group had anything negative to say about this restaurant.Vegetarian options: They put together a mushroom papardelle dish that several people in our group enjoyed.

Last night we had the most fantastic Valentine’s Day Dinner at Gabriella’s in Rossland! I cant remember when we’ve enjoyed every single bite of a dinner so much! The quality, the freshness, the variety of textures, colours and flavours! Outstanding. We were truly blown away! Our compliments to the chef Gabriella herself! The service was perfect too. We will return often and recommend to others.

Third time enjoying the “Tour of Italy”meal. Food was delicious as always. Enjoy relaxing between each course, you need it to enjoy the next one! My only complaint was with my most recent “tour”, with the server. She was friendly but very busy serving other tables that our “tour information” was raced through. She spoke so quickly that we didn’t catch all of it. Plus our pasta was delicious but cold.I think additional staff would have helped. Otherwise a wonderful experience.

Highly disappointed. For the price, I expected much better quality and taste. Obviously the people who told me this place was good don’t know much about good taste. The rack of lamb was over cooked, the crust on the outside was soggy from the “package gravy” they put over everything. The carrot was hard (undercooked) and had no flavour, same with the zucchini, the piece of red pepper was the only thing with taste on the entire plate. Frozen peas, and 2 brussel sprouts literally boiled and thrown on the plate, no taste. Mashed potatoes weren’t good, it all tasted cheap. I’ve had pub food thats tasted way better. And artificial gravy you buy from a package in the store? A great way to ruin any meal. This is not a place that offers food that you can make homemade gravy from. Seasoning was very bland, especially on the lamb. This dish can be made WAY WAY better. Then the dessert, tiramisu, was mostly just whipped cream, not much else in it, then ruined by putting too much cocoa powder on top of it. They ran out of the dessert everyone wanted. Waitress was not around much, and her section was not busy. My partner had to keep going to the bar himself to get a drink. Won’t be back due to taste and slow service. Reading other reviews also shows bad management and ownership replies to genuine concerns or valid comments. This place shows poor management and ownership. Just read the replies they send to others with 1-2 star ratings….. I didn’t take a photo because the food was not worthy of a photo.

The Trip Around Italy was highly recommended by friends, so we decided to have our staff Christmas party there last night and we had the most amazing time. The whole experience was excellent. 8 of our party guests did the trip around Italy and 2 ordered off the menu. The food was ridiculously good, our server went above and beyond to make sure we were always taken care of, was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The venue was beautiful and even though it was a busy night with several other groups, it felt spacious, warm and private. Thank you Gabriella and staff for being so accommodating!

What an awesome meal we had at Gabriella’s! So much on the menu to choose from. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. This is the spot to go if you’re hungry and want authentic Italian cuisine. Bravo!
