Excellent food. Service as a bitty spotty as they forgot one dessert order and it took 3 tries to get it!

We always have a pretty good meal and decent service here. Staff are friendly, food consistent lots of local beer options. We were sad not to be able to sample the special as it was sold out. All good

Generally, we have an exceptionally good experience at the flying steam shovel. The last time though, the server was mediocre, seemed to have a little bit of an attitude, and just wasn't friendly or engaging. I am working my way through their whole menu, and this time I tried the chicken sandwich. It was terrible. Dry, over cooked chicken breast. With that said, the burgers,the fish and chips, poke bowl, and the beers on tap are exceptionally good and the servers are friendly,jovial, and engaging. So my five stars mostly reflects all my past experiences not just this one single time. This was the only time I was unhappy with the meal and service. Also need to point out that I believe this was a new server that I had never seen before.

Great food and service as always! Poke Bowl was top notch as well as the Brussels sprouts appie!

This was probably the best food i’ve had in quite some time, coming to a small town not expecting much this was above and beyond expectations. Rooms were fantastic and homey. Better than any hotel i’ve stayed in. The bed is perfect. I wish i could give 6 stars.

Food was amazing. Staff are super friendly and accommodating, and the inn is quite a nice touch for traveling musicians. Highly recommend!

This was unfortunately not a family friendly experience. The restaurant asks on Open Table to note if you have kids. We did that. The hostess was very short with us and another party that we knew. They said they had no record of us having kids and then put us at a table in the back next to the restroom. We asked if we could be sat by our friends table or have them sat by us (restaurant was like 30% full) and they said that can't accommodate that request due to how busy they were. The restaurant was only about 20% full when we left. Crazy. They could have easily taken care of us. At least our server was nice. Food was very avg. Many better options in town.

Always delicious! Had the winter greens bowl with chicken. Black forest cake made on site! Excellent!

The menu items were a bit weird for us {we're in our 70s), so we chose the fish and chips, which were very good. The black forest cake was wonderful. The service was unbelievably good--nothing was too much trouble for our server.

Our favorite restaurant in Rossland! Food is fabulous, drinks are great, service is even better.

We love the food at the Flying Steamshovel, and the food was completely reliable and good. Some of the meals warm, and some cool which was disappointing. The last time I was there in early January I remarked at the QUALITY of the service and sadly this was not our experience this time. Every drink that we ordered was late, even after the appetizers arrived and the last drink came when we were sitting waiting for the bill and waiting to leave. It had sat on the bar. We were well done our appetizers when the server took our main order which delayed us getting the meal. Server was engaging and polite just busy and the restaurant appeared short staffed. Doisappointed.

This is a great pub. Make sure you get Adam as a server. Beer selection is fresh and wide spread. Food comes out hot and fresh made each time. The ambiance is theat of a neighborhood but, friendly and welcoming.

Love the Shovel! Good food, great service. Enjoyable experience for all! Plus, our 5yo always chooses them for family dinners ❤️
