A real gem in this small town and a wonderful surprise to be able to taste such authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Owner’s family is originally from Vancouver and this is better than quite a few Vietnamese restaurants there in my opinion. Best way to tell is to check the broth of the beef pho and having tasting this, you know this is the real stuff, not made from some instant powder.

It’s hard to find authentic places like this gem in a small town like salmon arm. Food and service was absolutely amazing. Food cooked by the owners themselves and their family so you know to expect authentic northern Vietnamese cuisine. Will not miss the opportunity to eat here if we are anywhere near salmon arm! Tip: Hanoi special pho is a must!

Hanoi 36 special chicken fried rice and stir fried chicken noodles was amazing and juicy chicken .Delicious food. Good for lunch
The pho was amazing and the service was awesome. We were not from around the area and the server also gave us a great suggestion of where to watch the sunset after our meal :)

We enjoyed our dinner at Hanoi 36 very much. Our server was exceptional. He promptly visited our table, and continued to be professional, efficient, and hardworking throughout the evening.
The food at Hanoi 36 is always delicious, fresh, and authentic. All of our portions were plentiful, and we even took leftovers home.
This restaurant is our go-to spot when we have visitors, when we crave tasty take-out, or when we wish to be pampered. Thank you Michael, Jenny, and team for a terrific experience.
