My wife and I visited the Marionette Winery on the way back from a wine tour vacation in Penticton/Oliver/Osoyoos. On a whim we decided to try this small winery in Salmon Arm.

It is an operation with a lot of heart, and with a number of unique wines that differ from those of the south Okanagan in notable ways. The location is farther north and the grape varietals are different (more German & Austrian) adding to the uniqueness, which we appreciated.

The venue reminded me of the small, family-run wineries along the Route du Vin in Alsace. They also have a good offering of food and are open late (until 11pm). The staff were great—knowledgeable, professional, and friendly—and the picturesque location is convenient.

I am so glad that we took the time to visit Marionette, and encourage others to do so. And they have good plans for the future—I wish them luck and will visit them next year to see how things have progressed!

They had live music tonight, and no wine flight - we ordered sangria pitcher which was ok. Food truck was Japanese curry which was not authentic, but tasty none the less.

Gorgeous winery with fantastic service and prices! We were travelling through the area and saw the signs for Marionette’s. We were so happy to meet the incredible host! She so graciously let us sample 5 wines and explained their wine process and how the different wines tasted (which was actually super cool!) I loved being able to sip some wine while looking over the mountains. Super cool experience, wish I would have bought more bottles.

Saturdays here are disappointing. The “live music” is just one singer quietly mumbling something you can’t really make out, and she’s constantly taking breaks. Seating is uncomfortable and worn out. The resident dogs keep pestering guests and begging for food. The furniture is broken, old, wobbly, and way past its prime. The promised food truck never showed up. Prices are way too high for the level of service and quality you get.

Beautiful scenery, great customer service, and the wine was all delicious! Everything tasted so pure and clean! We ended up buying a bottle and my only regret is not buying more!

Wonderful experience. Was there on a Thursday. Very relaxed setting with the wine tasting. For an ameteur wine taster it was the perfect experience. They also do delicious mocktails for those who are unable to drink. Beautiful view of the valley.

We enjoy visiting Marionette winery when we're in town and this last time (May, 2025) we took my father in law who lives in town. Space was accessible, view was fantastic, wines enjoyable and service friendly. When it started to sprinkle a little rain on the patio where we were sitting, we were brought inside the tasting room where they continued to make us feel welcome. We're wine club members from away, but this time they made a convert of a local. It's always a treat to visit and bring some bottles home.

Visited during shoulder season and ended up having a tasting with the owner. Very friendly with lots of interesting stories. Great tasting wines at a sensible price point. Definitely recommend 😊

Our Thanksgiving weekend in Salmon Arm was ‘topped off’ with a delightful visit to this winery at a very grand location looking over the valley. Our hostess explained all details as we tasted each wine. Lovely flavours in a beautiful setting. A MUST stop over when visiting Salmon Arm. Loved the story of Your Name!

We had a wonderful experience at this winery during our recent visit. The wine tasting was delightful, and we also had the chance to try their strawberry rhubarb and ginger lemongrass drinks—both were excellent! The hummus platter and salsa with chips made for the perfect snack pairing. The winery offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valley. The hostess, Jill, was incredibly welcoming and even shared some of her life experiences with us, adding a personal touch to our visit. They also host events on Fridays and Saturdays, featuring live music and a food truck, which makes for a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by this winery if you're in Salmon Arm.

The owner offer a nice service with a big smile, but the wines were not in my tastes.
