Sushi Kotan Japanese Restaurant

Loved it, gyoza was absolutely delicious and you can tell it was made in house. Everything else was great, the miso soup nigiri and the rolls.

Food was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent. She was the best server who did everything such as host, serve, clean, take phone orders etc. Highly recommended.

Got a larger order for 5 people
Dynamite roll was only one own and so much rice. Nothing else in it at all
Cali roll was only a small amount of imitation crab and again too much rice. No avocado or cuje in anything. Felt like i just had plain white rice for dinner. Wont be going back

After Getting Home, Found They Only Had a Small Shrimp With Nothing Else Inside, No Avacado, No Cuke, Nothing Else?!

Their Visa Machine Was Down, Not in Their Control No Probs But,

Not sure if people know how rare this is at sushi restaurants.. but REAL wasabi. I was so pleasantly surprised once I got over my head blowing off. Great quality salmon, my nigiri was excellent. Will be a frequent customer.

The sushi is good, but our server was very rude, and does not appear to know how to smile. We were told the restaurant was open until 7 but we were being pushed out the door at 6:35.

Never Again Terrible don’t think I we’ll eat sushi for a while gotta get that bad taste out of my mouth, price point terrible paid 65 dollars and still starving

This restaurant has consistently been a favorite of mine. The cozy ambiance and tranquil setting create an ideal environment for a relaxing meal. The service is consistently friendly and accommodating, with the owner personally thanking and bidding farewell to customers—a nice touch that enhances the dining experience. Additionally, the menu is always affordably priced. The noodle and rice bowls are my personal favorites, with portions that are consistently generous and well-prepared. I highly recommend this establishment as the go-to spot for a delightful lunch with friends.

Food is good but unfortunately the Owner is extremely rude to his staff and customers. He even rushes customers out of the restaurant if they’ve been there for more than an hour. Restaurant aesthetic is nice but space itself is dirty, owner also takes a portion of the tips given to servers and kitchen staff. ??

Always amazing, no matter where we sit the waiters always tend to everyone really well. Haven't had my problems with the food or wait times. Food is really fresh tasting which is hard to find sometimes especially with sea food. The chefs are amazing and VERY friendly. All around you can't go wrong.

Vegetarian options: They accommodate vegetarians and have a decent variety of different meals.

Dietary restrictions: The chefs and waiter listen to your concerns and as long as you let them know they will do their best to make sure you get what you ask for.

Kid-friendliness: As long as your kid can handle the food I can't see why it wouldn't be a kid friendly place.

It was great sushi place and the chef was super kindly, the server was giving me a perfect service as well.
I do recommend to visit this restaurant in Salmon arm.
I am sure to drop by it again.

Sushi here has always been great but they're never open...Friday at 4pm is even closed despite the hours on the doors/online saying they should be open. Normally I wouldn't give less stars only for that reason but the last 6 times I have tried to order they're closed. I likely won't try again.
